I'm not anticipating anything to come of it - it's just a rehash of "Will Hirdy be de-registered for bringing the game into disrepute? *gasp!*" again.

Next.
Media makes out we are in the sh!t with the AFL? We ARE in the sh!t with the AFL. The fact that we went to them is completely irrelevant. Criminals hand themselves into the police all the time. If anything, it suggests that the situation is particularly serious.

What's your anticipation that nothing will come of this based on?

It's pretty simply really. If our players were taking banned subtances, they won't be playing this year. It's as simple as that. How long it takes for that to be established is the $50m question.

That would explain the injecting then.

It sounds like the AFL encouraged us to do the presser, partly because some journos were being ridiculous in their investigations and making the rumors a lot worse.

Gee, I'm shocked to hear that.,

Just heard Gerard Healy's interview

Absolutely nothing wrong with anything he said

Just gave what he knew, didn't speculate and explained his opinion

Supposed secret meetings with bloke injecting unknown substances while being asked to sign waivers!!! WTF?
this is exactly what I don't get.... how could the club possibly think this was a good idea? you can't trust to keep anything secret these days so basically they have risked the clubs integrity, the culture, membership base, sponsorships and careers... for what, a few extra Kilo's or a few seconds in a time trial.... f****** ludicrous

and while we are at it, why are we employing these kinds of people? Dank/Coccoran probably a lot more that have questionable history? it's just asking for things like this to happen.

I'm bloody angry at the club right now and wont be surprised if people demand money back from Flight plan donations or memberships, I would never, but I can now understand why some people might

Mark McVeigh you are a legend.

Absolutely giving it to Reimers and this was the main thing to come out of his interview:

"Not a waiver form - a consent form from WADA and the AFL"

This was part of the interview, posted on BomberBlitz

Spike surprised and shocked
Club dragged through the mud
I knew 100% what I was taking was inside WADA specs.
Consent Form, based on it being a new direction.
The consent form said anything they took was within their specs.
Can speak for other players, because they only took what was WADA approved.
Off site because it was clean, and better to give injections.
Had a Vitamin C injection because he was tired, or had a cold.
No other injections.
never heard of drug they were supposed to have been linked to.
Reimers has lied.
Was unprofessional as a footballer
wasn't a waiver, it was a consent form
Everything we took was within the rules.
Reimers may have been asleep in the meetings where they set everything out.
Always knew at all times what he was taking.

Ox: Did you trust them without knowing what they were?
Club doctors always checked everything.
All the players knew what they were taking.
Ox: How was Hirdy?
Reflecting what everyone was thinking. Shocked because we thought we had done everything right.
we wear very thorough.
Ridiculous that he wouldn't know what he was taking
Will the players get through this?
100% fine
organised crime? knows nothing about it based on 12 years at the club.
100% sure everything he was taking was fine to take.
Hasn't spoken to Jobe. Can sympathise with Tim
Robson Hird and Evans would not buck the system, or would Doc Reid

Really don't know which way to go on this so far.

Lots of different thoughts swirling around in my head:

Does this prove that "weaponisation" was all a scam?
How could this have never shown up in drugs testing?
Does the AFL actually ever do any testing?
Has sports science gone mad? (agree with Daisy they played better in the 1980s on the dim sim & smokes diet)
Is Reimers really as thick as he looks?
If we were taking performnce enhancing stuff, how come our performance was so bad?
How amateurish does this whole thing make us look as a club?

What a mess.

Billyduckworth.

If some peanut throws mud, you have to take the iniative to clean it off.

The bombers did what was right. If they did not come forward with a presser asking for WADA/ASADA to investigate then it would have been Reimers word vs the Clubs. "interpretting "on the edge" fwiw".

if ASADA comes out and says the Bombers are clean, the did everything by the book then it puts any rumours to bed - The dons aren't cheats.

Of course if they come out and say they are unethical or did something illegal, then its very very bad.

Its very professional conduct by the EFC to do what they have done.

They had to go straight to the ADASA, the AFL aren't in any position to clear our name, only ADASA can so that aspect doesn't mean anything

Profesional Conduct or Damage Control?

Would have thought if things had been handled professionally there would have been no need for the damage control.

I'm the same as Billy with this, not sure whats Fact or Fiction at this stage, so much being thrown around in the media its hard to say where the truth sits.
