If anything, i think Neitz should've gone as well, rather than Yze. He's the oldest player on their list and it was clear that his body was falling apart last year (knees particularly), and he's done nothing in his first two games to suggest that him playing on was the right call.
Will anyone at Melbourne have the courage to tell Neitz his time is up. With all he has done at Melbourne it seems as if he has a free ticket to keep playing even though he isn't contributing. There is no doubt he is a champion player. It is always sad to see a champion player not choose the right time to go and look out of their depth like Neitz is at the moment.

God Robert Walls gives me the shits

RW: Eddie Betts looking sharp
Quarters: Just the 4 possessions.

Later on

RW: Nick Riewoldt really struggling, just the 4 possessions.

Great work from the "Expert" Commentator.

While WCE have been poor and demolished by a much classier Adelaide outfit, the umpiring is some of the worst I've ever seen. If you want to see a one sided affair in terms of umpiring, watch this game. Adelaide have been getting everything their way. Soft frees that aren't even there and obvious free WCE's way are being called play on. How you ride someone into the turf from behind and end up laying on top of them with no free kick is beyond me, yet WCE nudge someone in a body on body marking contest and it's a free for a push. #-o  I'm not a fan of either team but WCE are being raped by the umpires.

I don't normally get into umpire bashing, but this new focus on player being "demonstrative" after a suss decision and then penalising them 50 metres is only adding to the hatred towards these guys. If there is a crack down ordered by the AFL administration to try and stamp out player disappointment to protect the umpires image, it's not working. If the player doesn't swear or isn't personally abusive toward the umpire, what is the F****** problem? The 50 metre penalty paid against Nick Stevens in the 2nd quarter was absolute F****** junk. It cost them a goal, and all Stevens did was dispute the decision - no swearing and no abuse. FFS, players aren't robots and they are entitled to be disappointed when a dubious decision is paid against them.

The once tough game is slowly turning into a game of harsh penalties against soft indescretions. I don't like watching games of football where the umpires whistle is blown over insignificant bullshit.

Think those odds will change considerably. I didn't think they were awful but too many good players tend to go missing when things aren't going right.

The Bullies were absolutely fantastic. Would have to be the fittest team in the comp at this stage.

The Bulldogs did well to fight back after being down early. I'm glad they won as all the focus going into next week will be on them, they weren't expected to get off to such a great start. Maybe we can deal with them like in the NAB cup!

That's one of their problems for a supposed flag contender. No team with two Clarkes, a Milne and a Fiora will win the flag - there's 4 guys right there who i could see running around on Grand Final day in the same fashion as Leon Davis in 2002.

Other problems they have are the fact they have little legspeed, but to compound that problem, they move the ball at a snail's pace compared to the best teams like Geelong and Hawthorn. And last night showed what happens when the fabled ruck combination of Gardiner/King doesn't take the field - you have to move Kosi from the forward line to the ruck, and then their forward line goes from being very good to just ok. King has averaged 14 games per year for the last 5 seasons and so it's almost a certainty he'll go down at some stage, and Gardiner has barely played at all in the last 3 years and i'd be surprised if he managed more than 15 games for the season. Very flimsy ruck combination for a supposed flag contender.

They are no chance of winning the flag.

Carlton up by 31 points in the 3rd. Can't quite decide what'd be funnier - watching Carlton get run over after being 5 goals up, or watching the Filth get done by the Scum having started the game as raging hot favourites.

Choices, choices .

Maxwell should at least get 2. He lifted his elbow up, it was intentional.

Hawthorn easily accounted for Adelaide by 44 points. Franklin kicked 6.
