I suspect that playing a lot of games at Etihad will place a cap on the number of members we can generate. Not because its a bad place to watch footy but simply because its capacity means that a lot of folks would need to reserve seats for most games as ooposed to simply walking up to the G

Which is why Collingwood and Hawthorn has massively out-stripped us in the membership stakes - they occupy the MCG as their home base. We have a staduim which can accomodate 52,000 inclusive of AFL, MCC, Medalion Club etc.etc.

maybe the AFL can help us pay out our contract at the Dome to get us back to the G (it's in their interest for us to be there now given the gate sales we will create)

Same I tweeted the membership department asking and haven't got a response in 24 hours haha. Must not like my criticism of Family Day

they signed up bugger all by the looks of it, only signed up a couple of hundred in the past 2 days......

Also members who got that crappy bumper stickers that faded quickly can get there new improved ones with the edition of Bomber Magazine that is out at the moment.
