Agree, he is far from soft....i recall the mark he took against Port running back with the flight of the ball....very gutsy.

and people on here laughed at me when i suggested he might start in the middle for today's game

apart from one ripper clanger he was pretty good

He's playing a very different role this year in the midfield. His in and under work has actually been very good and is going largely unnoticed. His contested possessions are like 150% up on last year.

Thought he was very good today.

Apart from one horrible turnover, Monfries did a lot of really good things in yesterday's game and kicked a very important goal for us.

yeah i havn't watched the replay yet and that shows more so ill wait until i do but the sooner we all realize he is in our bottom 8 players and stop relying on him to step up to our top 5 the better, he will never get there but can be servicable
