Nah, keep it going. Just drop more hints as the time ticks on. But not too many, make it interesting.

I the old BT, we had the thread guess the footballer. RF had one, it went for about 4 days, no matter how many hints we got, we couldnt get it. Then I produced one that went about 5-6 days as well. Its fun.

Thought that too but who was his brother? Glenn? Played for Hawthor and Carlton?

Spot on. His 1st game was Hirds 1st game. Played 90 games for the Tigers before coming to us and then finishing at North. His brother Nathan played for the Tigers as well.

Met him at a mates wedding a few years ago and he is a ripper of a bloke.

OK, on the theme of "one season" players, I am a former forward from the 80's who had the ability to take big marks, and took a screamer in a game versus Sydney. I kicked 6 goals in one game, but was unable to break into the team on a regular basis. I played 10 games and kicked 18 goals in total. I hail from a town where two Bomber greats are from. Who am I and what number did I wear?

Against the saints, we lost by 3 goals or so. Leading at 3/4 time.

No, but interesting guess. Banfield does have something in common with this other player.

Well done Scott! High flyer from Dimboola where legends Tim Watson and Merv Neagle come from. First and only season was 1983. Just realised that I made some more errors in my "Sheedy's Best Numbers" thread by not including Wayne Beddison and Peter Banfield in the No.16 Gurnsey list

All right, somebody answer Filthy's question.
Filthy wrote:Who broke Leon Bakers jaw at Windy Hill on the same say we lost Daisy and Vanda and therefore 86's flag?
I got no idea

I wasn't at that game and can't remember who the opponent was. I remember Tim Watson going down with a knee injury caused by friendly fire. ....Bryan Wood fell across him. I have to think long and hard about this one!

Actually I thought Daisy and Vanda and Timmy were injured in different gmes. Vanda was injured against Geelong at Windy Hill, Timmy was injured against Footscray at the Western Oval and Daisy Williams was injured against Carlton at VFL park.

Dont know the answer to the Leon Baker though

My guess is Dipper. He always seemed to do damage against us.

Well I'm tipping it was early in the season and against Geelong, so I'll take a punt on Andrew Bews.

As to the question of who broke Leon Baker's jaw, i haven't a clue, seeing as i was still in nappies at the time.
Although if it was against Geelong as BD said, i'll guess Mark Yeats, and i'll throw Rodney Grinter in the mix if the match was against Melbourne.
