Which would be interesting, given Jim basically said 'no' last night, when he asked if he would do the job if EFC came calling.

He's actually stated many times recently that he's not ready to coach at senior level and doesn't want the gig. Move on people... Nothing to see here.

Maybe he was referring to the "head job". As an assistant to Choco for a couple of years, who knows, maybe he would be open to that?

He was on the box the other week Windy. Said he's enjoying his outside business interests and working on Fox. Said he'd probably do an assistant role at another club anyway, if he did decide to do it... And in his own words it was a big "if"... Besides, who would want the gig anyway with the treatment Knights has gotten from our so called supporters. Hirdy's smarter than that...

I get the feeling that Hird could go 0-22 and the Essendon fans would still adore him - they would probably blame Knights for leaving the club in such a mess for poor Jimmy.

Yep. Quite the opposite to their acceptance of Knighta's inheritance of Sheedy's mess...

Its a good point but this is where Knights himself has stuffed up - he claimed the list was ready for a run at a flag within 3 years!!!

In football, as in life, promise less, deliver more

Wouldn't be surprised if Williams got the head job but we all know Hirdy isn't interested.

It would be great to have him involved in some way. He might be able to get the players to respect the jumper.

Wish people would leave Hird alone. It's so embarrassing and desperate to think he will come in and we'll magically be awesome. Imagine if it was Hird in Knights situation...wonder if we'd be calling for his head.

Hird says he isn't interested, but how many presidents/CEOs say their coach is safe right before the firing occurs.

Robson says Knights job is safe - don't buy it

Hird says he doesn't want to coach - don't buy it

Players saying they are playing for the coach and jumper - sure as hell don't buy that!

the more they so no - the more they say we're ok, the closer it is to boiled rabbit !

I guess u all agree that this admin, coach & staff, and players have ripped the heart out of EFC,
the one way to rebuild that in an instant is to bring in EFC legends - Hird as coach, Lloyd & Lucas fwd coaches,
Misiti midfield coach and Wellman backline coach, and keep Madden as ruck coach.

All these guys are premiership legends at EFC - we need these men and not rabbits from richmond who hardly
played in a final let alone won a premiership !

Any decision makers with balls at EFC ???
