Re: Trade Winds
I heard a unsubstantiated pub rumour that Drummond is looking at three Melbourne clubs.
richmond, the dons and i think the last one was carlton.
all are making offers better than what brisbane has on the table.
I am hoping Essendon are doing all they can to secure either Mundy or Drummond. both very classy players that would walk into nearly any(if not all) 22s in the comp.
Mundy in particular would be perfect for us. at 25 he has got 4-5 good years, which will slot in nicely with the ongoing development of our youngsters that are 19-23. But i wouldnt sneeze at drummond either. I rate Josh Drummond massively.. one of the best kicks of the footy going around. might be a bit old thats all....

Drummond would look amazing on our back line ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
Ryan Gamble for the Cats is almost certain to be looking for a new home as well.

Re: Trade Winds
Hmmm, good WAFL players maybe.Mrs M.Didn't cut the MUSTARD at AFL though.
McKINLEY might barrack for the BOMBERS,but the sidelines are as close as he's gunna get.
MUNDY would be a Better pickup. But I'd be NARKY at him if I was a FREO Supporter.Or rather his BLOODY Manager. Why walk out on them now,if they're a chance to build on this year?

Re: Trade Winds
Great, so they can actually poach 2 out of contract players from one club. The second of which the club will get no compensation.

don't complain too loudly. currently they haven't taken any bombers.Sismis wrote:Great, so they can actually poach 2 out of contract players from one club. The second of which the club will get no compensation.
i am more worried now about the GWS raids. our young blokes will just be starting to show something by the end of next year. and they have sheedy up there at the helm who knows the essendon list better than anyone.
Re: Trade Winds
Spangher would be a great pick up for any club in the EDFL. Out and out spud, can't believe the Eagles offered him a contract and am even more stunned he knocked it back.Mrs Mercuri wrote:Ben McKinley and Matthew Spangher are leaving the Eagles to return to Victoria.
Heard Matt Rosa wants out Mrs Merc, heard anything at your end?

They have already packed Houli's bags and sent him to the Tigers...![Confused :?](./images/smilies/icon_confused.gif)

Meh. We have plenty who are better.Mrs Mercuri wrote:They have already packed Houli's bags and sent him to the Tigers...
I don't get the obsession with Houli, either from outside the club or by our supporters. Yes, he was very unlucky not to be playing earlier this year, but he isn't that good a player - so far he seems soft, panics when there's any pressure on and isn't very good defensively. He is far from a must-keep player.

"Polo could be traded as part of the Houli deal."
Really? has Polo improved at all? I'd rather a draft pick. I thought Polo was shit apart from one game against us.
Aaron Francis is the Messiah.
