Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Ah, thanks for that Windy - I missed the show. Well, I am more comfortable now knowing that Bomber isn't in a "bad" space at the moment. It seems he's just tired of being the senior coach and wants to be out of the spotlight. So that means he could in fact join us in an entirely different role where he is in the background offering his tremendous qualities to Hirdy.

Going to be an interesting week coming up.....

I'd have to say he is coming to Essendon. He never ruled out any future possibilities in a lesser role, only ruled out coaching! Bring on Bomber! I dont think we will find out for a while though. He will go on holiday, dust will settle, and he'll commit to the bombers saying that he is ready to get back into footy.

Thanks for posting the vids. Difficult to get any of this in my geography.

The positive vibes around here are massive, it is so good to even think about optimism around the future of the club again! Surely supporters, staff and players wont be able to respond with anything less than a little self belief and hope.
Hope the feeling can be bottled and turned into hard work, improvement and success.

Congrats to the club and JH for being ballsy.
Welcome home Bomber! (I hope)

Go boys!

Interesting that Bomber said during this interview that he spoke to "Cooky" 3-4 months ago about being tired. Isn't that roughly the "3 mth Get Out Clause" he had with his Contract at Geelong?.........interesting!
It just fell out of the sky

Hirdy said he was happy not to get any boo's but will when we lose our first game, i hope he doesn't actually believe that!

I like the douchebag's in the background. "Hang on. I'm on telly. Act normal... Hey. I'm pretty cool. Paid $1000 to be here. Got my suit on... Better ring someone... Hey Macca. Check it out. I'm on telly..."

Cheers Windy. Brought a smile to what has been a pretty rotten day...

Bomber (or Bomba as it should be correctly spelled) got the nickname because he was such a laid back guy, he never wore footwear - anywhere. Thus the nickname Bomba who is the kid from the Jungle Book movie who walked around everywhere without shoes on.

(at least this is the story I heard)
