Who's interested in a road trip?

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

Who's interested in a road trip?

Post by paddyl90 »

Hey all,

I've been speaking with Jazz about possible interstate trips to watch the boys play next year and was wondering if any others had any similar plans of going too. Just thought I'd get some numbers as to who we could meet up with at games and stuff and plan some get togethers or something. The only interstate games I won't be going too are Perth games so if others are planning on going then speak to those other people going :)

The following games we have interstate next year:

Round 2 - Sydney ANZ (Sunday Afternoon) 3rd of April
Round 8 - Brisbane G (Saturday Night) 14th of May
Round 12 - Fremantle Subi (Sunday Afternoon) 12th of June
Round 17 - Adelaide AAMI (Friday Night) 15th of July
Round 22 - WCE Subi (Saturday Afternoon) 20th of August

I'm up for all 3 of those, anybody else got any similar plans. Let me know of your interest and we could get something going for next year. I know it's still a long way til season starts, 144 days..but who's counting  , but it'll be here sooner than you know it...November already!

If you're a maybe or an "I'll think about it " person please put your name down.

Round 2 - Sydney ANZ

Round 8 - Brisbane G

I love the idea of doing this and wish we'd done it last year.

Can't make it this year, we'll have a newborn in the house, but if we keep it up in 2012 I'll be in on anything up the east coast. :)

We did a couple of these to Sydney in 02, 03, and 04 when the original site was at its peak. We had a ******* great time, even the two years we lost. We used to call them Robbie and Dodgey's magical mystery tours. So pissed by 8pm it was magic, and so pissed by midnight, it was a mystery. But all was good, as long as you "dont tell mum the babysitter's Dodgey".

We stayed at a pub oppisite the Strand hotel, and usually made a weekend of it. I'm up for Sydney again.

I did 2 of those Sydney trips and they were fantastic fun. We drank the Strand out of Carlton Draught one trip.

I'm up for that one again.

I'm looking to do the Brissy and Freo trips as well at this stage.

Sure is. It was pretty much the place to be when Celtic were in Brisbane last year.

BUMP!

Hey guys,

Plans for the Round 2 Sydney game are already underway.

Those who said they were interested in the trip and any others who would like to join the rest of us...are you still interested?
