Hmmm, another utility.

We've had Bolton, Kepler, Myers...why not go back to the well.

Unlike some of those other players (who you simply can't compare him to)... he has a real passion to play for the club. Followed the EFC all his life and his hero was one Mr James Hird!!

Has been likened to Luke Hodge... if he can be even half the player Hodgy is I think we will be very very pleased!!

Are you suggesting I'm being negative nomolos, you flea?

I might have a very high opinion of Kepler, Bolton and Myers.

Obviously Essendon are content with our young midfielders. I wish Dyson all the very best. On paper it appears an unusual pick but time will tell.

You do very well at masking sarcasm by playing innocent after the fact.

Think he is in the mould of our old mate Judd Lalich

Will Judd present him with one of his old headbands to keep the hair out of his eyes?

How can you say 'on paper it's a strange pick' if you, by your own admission, know sweet f*** all about him?

Morrish Medallist, u18 All-Australian, models himself on Josh Drummond.

and an Essendon supporter

http://www.smh.com.au/afl/afl-news/pick ... =text-only

pick 8 was best available.(as your first picks should always be).

His best attributes? Kicking Efficency and Clean hands. IMO they are two things that EFC really really needs.

This dude can easily fill a midfield role. He is tough and has good skills. He can set up play as a HBF but also has excellent shut down capability.

Also he can kick!

Might just be wishful thinking but he does look like a young Hird....

A lot of pundits had him going in the top 5 picks - so it would appear we have done well
