Ummm ... one out of the box here ... probably would have been around as a third round pick

FF - 51 goals in 10 games, including eight hauls of five or more.

Off the radar given his year as an exchange student in Canada.

Seems James thinks we have the makings of a solid midfield (or can recruit if and when we challenge)

Bye Bye Neagle

Pretty much replaces Neagle/Still on the list. Was an interesting selection that high in the order but it certainly sounds as if the boy has a heap of talent on the forward line.

Anyone see the photo of him on the AFL Website Draft coverage? Freaked me out. He looks a 'camp' serial killer

HA!

And if I were Hirdy, in 2012 I would play Steinberg on Israel Folau

Dont mean to be rude but if you think Steinberg would've been around at pick 48 your kidding yourself.

problem for jewish players is that GF often happens around the same time as Yom Kippur. Wasnt it a few years ago that Joe Gutnick said he wouldnt attend the GF if Melbourne made it that far as it fell on Yom Kippur?

That video shows a poised and balanced approach to kicking. Nice, simple and straight style.

I thought he didn't go to any Saturday games, what with it being the Sabbath.

Any reason why a 2'nd round pick has been getting so much media attention?

Is there something in this kid that has been identified/picked up by some "reporters (including you Emma)" that makes me think perhaps I should be putting him in my dream team next year?

i reckon this guy is going to be a gun.

my tip is he will play seniors next season and 2012 he will be a lock in essendons forward line.

he'll be our best pick up this year.

Highlight reel http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

Reminds me a lot of Scotty Lucas ... but with a right foot as well ... though from the reel it seems he has another 5-10 m in his range ... wouldn't mind him leading around the 25-55 m from goal range (not just from the square - leave that to Hardingham or Williams) ... lets see how he goes with a bigger ground and a less crowded forward line.
