captaincy....

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

captaincy....

Post by tom9779 »

in the news, fletcher and hille vice captain(s) to Lloyd.

personally, I would have liked to see Hille retain the captaincy, and let Lloydy go about his business kicking another ton next year.

I just like the idea of a captain around the ball....

I can see your point, but you couldn't take the captaincy away from Lloydy when he hasn't yet had the chance to have a full season doing it.

Speaking of Lloyd has anyone seen him at training? I heard a report that he was seen shopping and he was limping a bit or looked a bit sore.

Not bored, just hoping no harm has come to the great man thats all. Maybe someone can leave offerings of rum or burn some incense around Windy Hill or something like that to wish the great man a successful season in 2007 :)

Lloyd will be a great captain - motivated and determined. He will do for the Dons in 07 what Hird did in 2000.

In terms of vice-captaincy, I would have liked to have seen Stants get a gig as the leader of the new brigade of kids.

eh dunno about stants, comes across as a pretty shy and quiet kid.

saw him on before hte game once and looked like he was about to shit himself. I reckon if we were going to appoint a young captain to lead the new crop it'd be jobe, seems to always hold his chin up high and is a pretty vocal character.

Geez settle down Western Red, he was just quoting a footy issue and asking for confirmation. That's what we're here to talk about - footy.

I'd like to see Hille concentrate on the ball rather than leadership and then maybe he'll win a few good hitouts.

Lloyd should be the captain.

Hille and Fletch will be good deputies.
