Re: TEAM v Dawks
We really are aspiring to be be a shite team
Re: TEAM v Dawks
What an absolute joke.
Welsh is rubbish, he is a spud. He is about one level BELOW NLM.
Davey has shown nothing in the seniors or reserves, yet gets a game.
The 3 ruckman thing does not work, it hasn't worked in any games. Last week we looked better when we only played the 2 ruckmen.
Seriously, have we wasted our money?

Re: TEAM v Dawks
Rubbish selections. Hille, fair enough - but we have seen that playing the three big guys does not work. Welsh and Davey? Wow. So much for earning your spot in the VFL.
Reimers, Carlisle, and even Williams deserve a spot ahead of those guys.

Re: TEAM v Dawks
Reimers is BOG in the VFL nearly every week and Welsh goes straight back into the seniors without playing for Bendigo. It defies logic.
Re: TEAM v Dawks
bullshit selections, Welsh and Davey in front of Reimers and yes even Williams is f****** laughable

Completely agree..... why the hell isnt Reimers, Colyer or Willo in the side ahead of Welsh and Davey.... really can't understand these selectionsJazz_84 wrote:bullshit selections, Welsh and Davey in front of Reimers and yes even Williams is f****** laughable
I understand why Hille has been brought it... Hooker is out and the Hawks are light on for tall players, we will definately stretch their back half.

Re: TEAM v Dawks
The thing is Reimers played last sunday and got knocked out, pretty tough to back up from that.
If we are not supposed to eat animals, why are they made of meat ?.
Re: TEAM v Dawks
Williams is playing decent footy and given Crameri is out he would have been perfect to replace him
i guess we can count ourselves lucky NLM is injured
i guess we'll see what happens for the game....im giving us a 15% chance

He was so concussed that he came back on the field to play the remaining 3 quarters and dominate.uptick wrote:The thing is Reimers played last sunday and got knocked out, pretty tough to back up from that.

Re: TEAM v Dawks
Bugger ... lost my post..
The team does not look balanced. The ins are not "like" for like players. IMO Carsile is closer in type to Hooker than is Welsh. Reimers or Williams are closer in type to Crameri than is Davey.
At least Slattery was not selected... but was slightly suprised that Prismall was retained - I didn't think he did enough in the 3 quaters he played last week (12 touches as a midfielder - 9 of which were handballs)... Colyer has done more!
Agree that effort and application in the 2nds is not being rewarded - a policy which does not provide upward pressure on those picked in the seniors to keep performing, and eventually will undermine attitude amongst our developing players in the VFL.
Please let it be announced that this is Welsh's farewell game ...
Davey may have been selected as a tagger for Cyril ... lord knows we don't want Fletch on him!
Dyson and Williams have confirmation that their papers have been stamped. Inform your agents fellas... GWS looms
BTW - interesting names on the emergency list ... I wouldn't be suprised that a couple of the listed players "unfortunately" eat a dodgy chicken curry for lunch tomorrow.

Uproar at Gnome not being in the team. This weeks sign that the apocolypse is upon us.

Re: TEAM v Dawks
I'm aware that he dominated, was just putting it out there that perhaps, just perhaps, playing twice in 6 days is not what the club wants ( apart from what ever sin(s) that he's being punished for). Don't get me wrong, I'm a bit stunned that Welsh is in the team, ahead of better performing VFL players, but again, maybe the explanation is that the 5 day break between games has been the over riding factor in team selection - for better or worse, clearly worse, given the spleen being vented tonight.BenDoolan wrote:He was so concussed that he came back on the field to play the remaining 3 quarters and dominate.uptick wrote:The thing is Reimers played last sunday and got knocked out, pretty tough to back up from that.

Re: TEAM v Dawks
Any calls yet for Hird to go?
What a f****** joke. 4 losses in a row and recalling Andrew Welsh.
Sir Jim, even Megan will be jumping off soon.

Re: TEAM v Dawks
definitely no calls for Hird to go obviously but if we retain a certain few players with new contracts and we get the same selections next year surely they arn't serious about making this team GREAT.... surely they will do whats needed... SURELY

Re: TEAM v Dawks
Welsh has a pretty good record on Hodge so that may be why he was brought in.
Davey in baffles me. Hasn't done anything in the VFL.
We need to stretch them this week. Willo should have played.
