Best news all weekend! Always knew(OK hoped is probably closer to the truth) that they were pretenders - losing to Weagles here just confirms it. Waiting, waiting, waiting for them to lose what should be a winnable game, was getting worried when they just continued to win. When Essendon would lose, I could always enjoy watching Carlton lose the last few years and it makes me puke that this hasn't been the case more often this year. Probably a major cause of Mondayitis blues. Hate that joke of a club (can't even bring myself to say it) more than I love EFC. Said I would like to beat PA if we had one win left in us BUT if it costs a club that shall remain nameless a top four spot, I would love EFC to crush their chances at a premiership (as long as Ratten keeps his job). All would be forgiven for the rest of the year (but I still reserve the right to whinge!). And too anybody saying I shouldn't gloat because of the position we're in, well I give you a middle finger salute.

Judd had 17 touches but they'll still find a way to give him 3 votes.

But the eagles are not a bad side at all. Cox in all australian form again, along with kerr and embley. and natnui has started playing quite well. Not bad to watch as well

Not working today and caught a replay of that game on Fox. Magnificent mark by Nic Nat. Fair Dinkum Carlscum got the better end of the stick umpiring wise. Some of the decisions to them in that game were outrageous.

Because we have been so awful and the season seems effectively over I will be hoping that the likes of Coll,Carl and Haw trip up big time. We cant have anyone going to 17 flags.

I agree... really like the way the Eagles are going about their footy. All the young guys are growing in confidence plus their champs in Cox, Kerr and Embley are leading the way.

Last year's wooden spooners. You don't see them falling in a heap complaining about tough pre-seasons, travelling interstate, playing kids etc, etc. They just get on with the business of winning games of footy.

anyone see West coasts final part of the season? they will most likely win all but 1 or 2 games for the rest of the year.... hopefully taking Carlton's spot in the 4

True, although it helps when you have Cox and Kerr getting back to their best form in several years.

This game (Scum v WC) still makes me think we're not as shit as we're currently playing, given that we beat WCoast at the same ground.

The difference is BD is that the Eagles experienced blokes are much better players than our experienced blokes.

And I haven't heard our players complain about the tough pre-season, it will eventually hold them in good stead.

If we replace Hille and Welsh/McVeigh with Cox and Kerr, I can guarantee we would be near the top 4 as well.
