Wow, what part of Slattery's game made him the 5th best Essendon player on the ground? Was it his high marking? Long runs out of defence to set up his teamates? Courage under fire, putting his body on the line? Or is he just a great clubman? Actually I think I've got it, it's just pity.

I think it was Betts 5th goal where he showed poise, courage, team work, leadership, skill, reading the play, strength, mental toughness, have I missed anything. He was without doubt the difference last night
