Won't work.

Our set up is fine at the moment, no point changing it. I think we are too tall already around the ground and desperately need someone who *shuders* breaks the lines (I hate that saying)

He may well be a star, but I wouldn't bother rushing him back in this week or next.

Let him play out the season in the 2's hopefully at full pace. Come back and try and get through one pre-season without a hamstring, back spasm, colloarbone, spinal reattachment or open heart surgery.

Vic Park is a 10 minute stroll from mine, so i'll be heading along on Saturday. First time i've ever gone to see Bendigo play, should be a bit of fun. I am quite excited at the prospect of 5 of my badges being in action (NLM, Welsh, Neagle, Slattery & Quinn)!

if he kicks 4, pulls down a dozen marks and dominates I would.

there is room for him in that forward line. at the moment we play a ruckman down there with crammers and hurls. instead that third tall should be a guy like gumbleton.

Both Hille and Ryder have been good in the last month... you would have to drop one of them to make way for Gumbleton and that would be a huge risk considering how prone to injury he is and his form in the games he has played. Talk of playing Gumbleton in the seniors this year is pretty much crazy, even if he does kick a bag of goals today and dominates I wouldn't expect him to get a senior game next week. If he doesn't show anything at VFL level before the end of the year the club will have a tough decision to make.

In an era when mature age draftees are becoming more and more popular (and effective), Scott Gumbleton could well be the next big thing. Not all players are physically ready to play AFL until they are 22.

Lets not write off the big guy yet.

Great 4 point win for Bendigo.

Apparently only in front for 30 secs of the game.
