Sammy has sort of gone under the radar it seems... i thought he was gone for the year!!! Hope he has a good half of footy today for Bendigo!
Still out of contract, hope he is kept for the next couple of seasons!!

Probably won't play in the senior side again this year as this will be the only VFL game he will get to play.

Don't think he has qualified for the finals in the VFL.

You only have to have played ONE game to qualify and he has done that today.

They have to have played 7 VFL games only IF they have played AFL after 1st July.
Sammy was injured and hasn't played AFL since June therefore he only requires to have played 1 VFL game which he qualifies for today.

Interesting/great find.
I was under the impression (no idea why) that if the AFL team was still playing finals, anyone from that team could play VFL.
I doubt he'll be fit enough for AFL finals.

I think ur right j-mac..... but all teams will still be playing because its round 24 of the AFL season
