Hurley's Manager
The manager of Hurley , Paul Connors , said on SEN this morning that Hurley wants to stay & they are going through the process now with the club.
Also tonight on AFL 360 , Robbo said Hurley will stay , loyalty will be a factor. The club also wanted to make a big deal , some time in the future , of announcing that both Ryder & Hurley will sign on.

Re: Hurley's Manager
i think its safe to say that the Giants have made a big play for Hurley. Offered him big dollars/incentives.
That is the only reason he hasn't signed already with the dons.
My hope is that Connors hasn't turned the whole affair into an auction. Which it might turn into whilst other players from other clubs all sign with their other clubs.(limiting the giants options to poach from elsewhere).

I think you're overlooking the fact that another good year from him will add more $$$ to his eventual contract.little_ripper wrote:i think its safe to say that the Giants have made a big play for Hurley. Offered him big dollars/incentives.

A standout year and the offer would be even bigger.
Connors has said that they are already having discussions so it sounds relatively positive to me.

Talk on Bomberblitz that Ryder has told the club he will re-sign as well, but to concentrate on getting Hurley's deal done first.

Can the Giants even talk to a contracted player? Can they make him an offer???little_ripper wrote:i think its safe to say that the Giants have made a big play for Hurley. Offered him big dollars/incentives.

The other rumour floating around is that both Hurley and Ryder have already re-signed and the club is planning to announce the news at the Family Day

Re: Hurley's Manager
Hasn't Connors been in a few dodgey deals in the past, maybe not dodgey but more deals where he was looking out for himself rather than his client?
