The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
Contenders or pretenders? Beat Sydney, and we steady ourselves, and head to Perth after the bye with a better than 50 chance. Drop this one, and the rot may just set in again.

Sydney will be a tougher game than fremantle.robbie67 wrote:Contenders or pretenders? Beat Sydney, and we steady ourselves, and head to Perth after the bye with a better than 50 chance. Drop this one, and the rot may just set in again.
But yeah i agree. We would want our forwards to kick straight next weekend.
Re: The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
What do you base that on? Our sterling record at Subi? Are you related to Windy by any chance?little_ripper wrote:Sydney will be a tougher game than fremantle.robbie67 wrote:Contenders or pretenders? Simple Sydney are travelling better than fremantle.
Plus i think essendon are flat. The bye cannot come fast enough.

Expecting a close one. We MUST win the contested possession count against Sydney or we lose.

"better than 50 chance" at Subi?robbie67 wrote:Contenders or pretenders? Beat Sydney, and we steady ourselves, and head to Perth after the bye with a better than 50 chance. Drop this one, and the rot may just set in again.
I know Freo are travelling badly but I can assure you we could not possibly be favourites when coming to Perth. We are shit over here.
Re: The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
Nope. Not this time. Cause I'll be there. I broke the AAMI drought last year...now to get Subi.tonysoprano wrote:"better than 50 chance" at Subi?robbie67 wrote:Contenders or pretenders? Re: The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
We are a frustrating team. We will probably play like Premiership favorites against a pretty solid side like Sydney. Yet against a average sides, more often than not, we drop in intensity. I know this is a simplistic view but in the evidence of late, you gotta think this group is still not as mentally tough as it will need to be.
Re: The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
We rise to beat Sydney because we expect it to be tough.
We didn't turn up against Melbourne. The loss we had to have - you learn your best lessons from a kick in the bum.
We should win this one.

Re: The Game Against Sydney Will Provide The Answer
We've had 5 consecutive halves of rubbish football since the second half against the Tigers so to some extent a rot has already set in.
If we can't beat the Swans, sans Goodes, with a day's extra break, at Etihad and with us basically having a full list to choose from, my estimation of our improvement will go from "substantial" to "marginal". They've been very ordinary in their two trips to Melbourne so far this year and the only decent team they've beaten all year is Hawthorn - they are 'just another team', especially without Goodes.

Hey Little Ripper, at least I am not calling for Gumby to be recalled this week. You dopey felcher.
Nice picture by the way, and if I was you, I would stick to that sort of insult. Because when you try to argue with fact and logic, your cupboard is bear.
