Re: Team v Sydney
Poor old Colyer, he's just the whipping boy of EFC. How can Melksham be getting a game ahead of him??? Can't believe he survived another week. Hopefully Melksham is the sub. It will probably be Myers though.
Re: Team v Sydney
He's a natural midfielder. Get him in the middle and let us marvel at constant butchering of the balltonysoprano wrote:Myers. Dear god.Sartorius wrote:In: Heppell, Hooker, Myers

Re: Team v Sydney
Colyer very stiff. Do not agree with his dropping. I'd have to rewatch last week to try and work out why.
Re: Team v Sydney
Hopefully we play well and that's the last we see of Nathan Lovett Ovens and Murray.
Re: Team v Sydney
How does myers get a game over reimers??? Reimers has had
A few bog recently and is in good form. I know the coaches love
Myers and are trying a bit o tough love with reimers but what's the
Point in busting a gut week in week out for bendigo if you don't
Get rewarded???
Bring back reimers!!!!!

Couldnt agree more. Myers was shit in the 2's last week, is he magically going to step it up a notch in the 1's?patoman wrote:How does myers get a game over reimers??? Reimers has had

Could not agree more. I actually thought he was pretty good. Melksham? Maybe gets a reprieve because he has put in some good ones this year.little_ripper wrote:Colyer very stiff. Do not agree with his dropping. I'd have to rewatch last week to try and work out why.
Edit: f*** me - its scares the shit out of me how sometimes seem to see things the same ways as the Gimp! (at least we disagree on NLM!)

Re: Team v Sydney
Only one you could argue with is whether Colyer deserved to be dropped. I watched most of Bendigo's game last week and agree that Myers was far from impressive.
NLM has no grounds for complaining about being dropped on an absolute basis as he's been shit for weeks, although on a relative basis he could point to Melksham and argue that he's been worse. Big deal - i'd rather leave in a young kid who's struggling than an old bloke who hasn't fired a shot in 10 years.
Heppell and Hooker good inclusions. This is close the strongest team we've fielded all year. We should beat the Swans.

Re: Team v Sydney
Reimers is an interesting one - he must have pissed off the wrong people. We always knew Myers was going to walk back in when fit so no surprise there.
Good to see Hepps back and Hooker as well - just balances the back line more with Hepps poise and Hookers ability to destroy the contest or out mark his opponent.
Bombers by 17..

Re: Team v Sydney
Would it be fair to assume Myers is going to keep Hibberd's place warm for him while he gets his eye in and fitness back for a week or two?
Hoping this is the case (unless Myers proves me wrong, which I'd be more than happy to see.)

Myers is the equivalent of Slattery in the Knights-era
coaches favourite for no apparent reason.. always gets a game
a few weeks ago i saw an interview with David Evans where he was asked: "who are your favourite players at efc?"
he rattled off a couple of obvious ones like Jobe.. and then said David Myers hmmmm... Myers must do a bit of "extra" work off the track (if you know what i mean)
