Plenty of reports on the net today how he "might" come in this week.

I think I'd prefer him to have at least one more week with Bendigo given how long he's been out.

I agree. He has only played 2 games.

If we can get him into some form he is a pretty big bonus for us.

Hird said he's definitely a chance to come back in:

I still want him to play at least once more in the VFL, if not twice.

And picking him as the sub is still risky - what are the odds on another first quarter hammy if he is?

They couldn't be that stupid could they? Needs to play a full game at the very least before being considered.

If we lose a player in the first quarter, he may not be able to run out the game if subbed on!

Assume he would be the sub. Surely no chance to play a full game. They said originally they wanted him to play 4 or more vfl games to build match fitness.

This x 2. Surely he's not ready yet. Our injury crisis isn't THAT bad is it?

On a completely unrelated note, what's happened to Trav Colyer? Is he playing VFL or not? He's not listed as injured...

Colyer didn't play last week because of an issue with his thumb. The one he had an op on at the start of the year. Had an infection which has cleared up.

Still rate Colyer and look forward to seeing back in the firsts. He turned deveral games around last year and we need his pace.

Great to see him back but I'm always so worried about him. Track record of being so fragile, fearful he would get injured last night. Never seems to be able to string games together.

1st half he wasn't really sighted but really came on well in the 2nd half, linked up and ran hard to the right places, great to have him back

We can't really expect much from him given that he has no base to work from in the sense of pre-season fitnes etc. Still, he was able to link up as you say and get involved in 3 goals. Was able to hit some targets which was a rarity on the night.

Also made some absolute howlers, but that's probably alright given how long he's been out.

Licha and Gumby were a couple of highlights in a pathetic effort.
