The Weapon Sacked?
The Weapon Sacked?
That's what I'm hearing. Anyone confirm it??
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
If true that just rounds off a complete disaster of a season. Clearly not short term pain for long term gain, just a general failure.
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
I believe he's losing the conditioning part of his title which DC will oversee and he'll stay on as strength.
Essendon Football Club- We arent arrogant, just deluded.
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
f****** hell we are an amatuerish organisation if true.
You do what your bosses ask you to do and then get the arse because it backfires.
Suppose someone has to be publically held to account for the disaster the past season was, but seriously you reckon you are going to be able to attract the best possible canditates to positions at the club when that is how you treat your staff?

We attracted Hird
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
I've just been told a similar thing to what Bonce said above - he's being moved sideways.
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
When you say "I've just been told" do you mean read somewhere on the internet?Gimps wrote:I've just been told a similar thing to what Bonce said above - he's being moved sideways.
This is old news. It was flagged by the club weeks ago.

Nothing has been confirmed. All speculation. "Flagged by the club weeks ago?". Really?gringo wrote:When you say "I've just been told" do you mean read somewhere on the internet?Gimps wrote:I've just been told a similar thing to what Bonce said above - he's being moved sideways.

And no, I was told by someone that is linked to the club. Spoke to him on the phone. And, he confirmed that nothing had been confirmed. It was merely what he had been told by another person linked to the club.
It's called rumour Gringo. Hence when I heard something this morning, I asked if it could be confirmed. Didn't I, douche?

Think this is what you were referring to Gringo.
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
Wasn't flagged by the club, speculation from a reporter, that is all.chickster wrote:http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/the-ja ... 6456990354gringo wrote:When you say "I've just been told" do you mean read somewhere on the internet?Gimps wrote:I've just been told a similar thing to what Bonce said above - he's being moved sideways.

Re: The Weapon Sacked?
Please correct me if I'm wrong Gimps, but are you saing that your secret phone calls with club insiders are more credible than Robinson's references to club sources? I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Robinson has better connections than you do in the football world. The fact that you are now reporting what Robinson told the world weeks ago seems to confirm this.Gimps wrote:Wasn't flagged by the club, speculation from a reporter, that is all.chickster wrote:http://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/the-ja ... 6456990354gringo wrote:When you say "I've just been told" do you mean read somewhere on the internet?Gimps wrote:I've just been told a similar thing to what Bonce said above - he's being moved sideways.

Re: The Weapon Sacked?
Robinson reported it, the club did not "flag" it..
It's not a contest between Robbo & I. When I see evidence of someone from the club stating that The Weapon's role will change, I will believe that the club "flagged it" weeks ago.

Did you come up with that response all by yourself?gringo wrote:Gimps wrote:Robinson reported it, the club did not "flag" it..

Re: The Weapon Sacked?
Retitling him and leaving him as he is would just be an arse covering exercise, to make out that we were doing 'something' without doing anything to appease the masses.
Which I have no prob with.
We've started this ball rolling, may as well get to the end now. No point writing off season 2012 for nothing.

Proud member of 'Cult Hird'.
Re: The Weapon Sacked?
I agree with this altho it looks like Corcoran will be playing a bigger role next year with the Weapon to be demobilized to some degree.Megan wrote:Retitling him and leaving him as he is would just be an arse covering exercise, to make out that we were doing 'something' without doing anything to appease the masses.
