AFL STAR DIES IN VEGAS

Post by Mrs Mercuri »

I am in shock with this news that has just broken by the Herald Sun.....

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/austra ... 6470914423

There are a number of clubs over there at the moment including our boys but the rumour is that it is possibly Port Adelaide's John McCarthy....  :(

Tragic day for AFL

I am sorry, but based on what source, I would hate to think anyone would speculate over such a matter?

Port Adelaide have confirmed that one of their players was involved in an incident over in Vegas... possibly involving a balcony.

No names mentioned.

No problems, obviously a tragedy regardless of the player invloved. If it is McCarthy, truly sorry for his family, friends and team mates.

Just a horrible, horrible thing.

Shocking. That's all. Doesn't matter whether he's an AFL player or a nobody like me, the most tragic thing in this is that a young life has ended prematurely, someone has lost a son, and everything has just changed for that family forever.

Heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the PAFC.

What an absolute tragedy :(

To think that 24 hours ago he had the world at his feet and he was enjoying life.

Can't imagine how devastated the family must be :(

I can.

What a horrible occurance to have such a young life cut short in its peak... sympathies to his family, friends, team mates and his partner. What shocking news to wake up to. Reminds me of Broadbridge.

Shocking and very sad news.

Feel for his family, friends, partner and teammates.

To whoever at the Herald Sun decided to have the little comment at the end of their story congratulating themselves for being the first to break the story....go have a good long hard look at yourself.

Speaking of parasites.

A guy on Bigfooty who knew McCarthy apparently got a phone call from The Adelaide Advertiser, an hour before his name was officially released by Port Adelaide mind you, chasing McCarthy's girlfriend's number to try and set up an interview.

Horrible news.

Some of it seems a bit suspicious, obviously there will be a full investigation into it.
