Will probably get another reprieve because of the injury to Dempsey, but f****** hell, this guy is going backwards at a rate of knots. Any chance at all of hitting a target? Showing the poise you did when you were 18?

He doesnt get a repreive, he should never play for us again. Complete squib who is taking the piss.

Treading water. I have seen no improvement in his game at all. He may be a slow developer, but FMD, he is frustrating.

Jetta is junk. Does not have a skerrick of mental application to play the game - determination, passion, courage, emotion etc. Zippo.

Myers completes the trifecta.

Both have gone no-where when the rest of the team has gone forward

Melksham HAS to go this week. Has had more than enough chances.

Give Colyer a crack.

Merrett and Kavanagh are ahead of both Melksham and Jetta, Where has O'Brien been this year?

Melksham hasn't any attributes that add value to our side. No speed or acceleration. Apparently 186cm but doesn't play that tall. Disposal average & no great footy smarts.
Jetta likewise, except Jetta is 3 yrs older. Jetta sucks people in with a few twists & turns, yet rarely can he burn anyone off or score intelligent goals.

Both aren't up to senior level.

Yeah, very well summarised. Spot on.

What is it that the coaches see in him? (Melksham)

He's filling the void of nothingness that Monfries left.

All jokes aside, whatever the hell it is that TRB sees in him, I just can't see it at all.
No idea whatsoever absolutely puzzles me why he gets a game week in week out.

FWIW despite Paul Roos bleating about Heppell v Jetta it was blindingly obvious to all at the ground Melksham was tagging Jetta.

Ha. Jetta, Melksham and Myers were the three guys I identified with mates yeaterday as those our younger mids (Kav, Merret, Browne etc) need to push out of the side if we want to be serious top 4 material. Myers is sometimes passable but too frequently poor, Melksham is no good, and Jetta is what I call a 'CP' - cannot play.

Jetta and Melksham are both terrible.
Myers I have a LITTLE time for because he at least has one weapon - a booming kick.
The other two rock up to a gun fight with water pistols.

The future doesn't look very bright for Melksham. His biggest problem is he doesn't have any upside to make him a standout or even competitive at AFL level. His kicking is woeful, he's slow (mentally and physically), he lacks awareness and therefore gets caught all the time, his tank isn't very big and always looks tired, he doesn't get the pill a lot for a midfielder and most importantly doesn't seem to have the will or compassion to compete. Often he is out sized and out bustled by his opponents which you would make you think he might need a pre-season or two in the gym, but he's done that already. He's just being out played as per usual..

I'll give him credit for bobbing up for a goal once every two or three games, it's an important part of a midfielders role. Apart from that he has been a huge disappointment in every way for a number 10. draft pick. He needs to go back to the VFL for a month or more and dominate just to get confidence back. Surely this can't go on forever.
