Nice squad!

I've heard McPhee is missing due to a slight shoulder injury!

McPhee, Mark Johnson and Camporeale all rested

I think Hirdy will play...there's no need to try and fool Carlton with a bogus selection at this time of year.

NAB Cup Round 1 2007, ESSENDON v. CARLTON
Saturday, 24 February 2007

BACKS: Patrick Ryder Mal Michael Henry Slattery

HALF BACKS:Lovett-Murray Dustin Fletcher Andrew Welsh

CENTRES: Kepler Bradley Mark McVeigh Andrew Lovett

HALF FORWARDS: Angus Monfries Scott Lucas James Hird

FORWARDS: Courtney Johns Matthew Lloyd Alwyn Davey

RUCKS: David Hille, Brent Stanton , Jobe Watson
I
NTERCHANGE: Bachar Houli, Jason Johnson, Richard Cole, Jason Winderlich, Sam Lonergan, Jason Laycock, Mark Bolton, Courtenay Dempsey, Chris Heffernan, Damien Peverill

My guess is that Sheedy will play 3 talls - Ryder in the backline taking 3rd tall defender. 4 players likely to miss on bench

Josh Kennedy is 195cm - pretty big as well. My bet is that Ryder has been picked to play on Kennedy if he gets a start and it will be a really good gauge of where he's at given Kennedy was #4 or #5 in 2005.

Hopefully we're not too cocky, we can't afford to lose to Carlton with such a near full list to choose from.

Will be interesting to see how Hansen goes tonight against the Pies, and how good Gibbs will be against Essendon.

Hopefully we will see our #2 pick sometime in the next year or two

Hope we absolutely smash the c**** into the ground. I dont care if we dont win next week, as log as we kill these pricks ill be happy. Hope Michael takes chunks out of Fev, and Johns puts Thorton in hospital. Fancy putting a bloke who held the club to ransom and wanted to leave in your leadership group? Or two blokes who were out on the piss at 5am?

Hate the f****** rabble, hope we smash them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
