Without wanting to light the torch and raise the pitch-fork - the coaching question should be discussed.

Is it the cattle or the farmer?

Yep. Time for the blowtorch to be put on Hirdy.

Next few weeks will be telling.

Spotlight ought to be squarely on Hird.
Tired of hearing him say how marvellous our defense is, yet we can't kick a goal to save ourselves.
The team have proved in the last 3 years what they are capable of, yet haven't even come close to those heights in 2015. Surely, the coach's job is simply to get the best out of the team. He has clearly failed in this regard.

Could be both. But coaches mostly carry the can (if that's the right way to use that).

I suspect a blind dog with 3 legs could coach Freo to the top 4 at the moment.

Also it was only a couple of years back that there were serious questions in the media about Buckley and Collingwood, but a couple of years on with some younger guys in the team, but still some important players from the last 6 or 7 years and they're in the top 4 and looking great.

lmao...are you serious?

Collingwood are the most overrated team in the comp. they have had the softest I draw I have seen in some time, with wins over lions, blues, saints, suns, demons norf and us. Theres are pattern here, none of their wins are against top 8 teams. All their losses against teams in the 8 with the exception of geelong.

when they start to play some quality opposition they will get spanked (case in point Adelaide). fortunately for them they havent played much quality as of yet.

either way I don't rate them but they may well make the 8 off this ridiculously soft draw. playing these dog crap teams twice should get you 10 wins at least.
