Bomber please, haven't you got any idea at all, what this sort of thing does for the players? Coming from one of their own, it doesn't help them one bit, that's for certain.

Bomber's criticism of the club and some of the staff, I don't know who he is more angry at - the Board, Hirdy, Deano and Dank, but it certainly doesn't help the players cause one bit. Hearing that kind of criticism and saying they should probably consider leaving to get a fresh start, even if some of what you said has been misquoted, it is a real kick in the guts Bomber.

The players have said, its never ending for them they cannot get away or escape from the negativity. I agree, that any players who want out of the EFC to go to another club should be given all support to do that.

James Hird needs to be given a chance to coach, without all the distractions of ASADA ands the constant negativity of the media.

The players do need a change of scene. If Essendon can't provide then with that, they should look at other clubs.

They don't need a fresh start. God the club has completely changed from top down in the last three years

What they need to do is get on with being professional footballers.

Most of what Bomber says in that article seems pretty much spot on to me.
Maybe he is a little too blunt at times, but it's mighty hard to argue against any of it.

I notice he makes the point that it is the BOARD that is responsible in the end for safe work practices.
Isn't this exactly what Bruce has been saying all along?

Sounds like Bomber's Burnt a bridge too many.Whether the Board ultimately see it like that,remains to be seen.But I can't see Bomber taking up the reigns with us again.Worse luck!

pretty sure he was talking about Hird

Hird will coach us in 2016, contracted and should be given a free run at it once all this bullshit is over

I keep hearing about people wanting Hird sacked. Lots of them. (I would so hate to be in the trenches with them)

But I haven`t heard any-one mention a successor, some-one who could could coach the team under it`s present circumstances.

And Bomber, if you really care for the club don't make divisive statements. I think the media have that covered.
