Precisely why the NAB Cup is such a load of crap. 3 out of the 4 semi finalists are widely tipped to be bottom 6 teams (Kangaroos, Carlton and Brisbane) in the season proper, so this just goes to show how much the NAB Cup really means.......not much.

The whole concept of having a team play in a Grand Final after only playing and winning 3 games against teams that finished 11th, 14th & 15th last season is hilarious. Add the fact that the Grand Finalists of the last two seasons "proper", couldn't give a tinkers cuss about the NAB competition, you are bound to see the cellar dwellers playing off against each other....

I had those 2 teams in my bottom 4. Just shows that it doesn't account for anything like the rest of you have said. I have to see it in the season.

Agreed, the Footy Show has been going downhill for a number of years. The entire concept is just getting tired, and even after removing Eddie is still doesn't cut it for me.

The NRL Footy Show, however, was much better when i used to watch it a few years ago (don't really watch it anymore). Instead of having a bunch of tossers taking themselves so seriously, you had a group of guys who had a bit of fun along the way - Dare Devil Dudes, Beat the Boys, Going Going Gaaaaawn, Reg Reagan etc were all great. That being said, they still talked about the serious stuff when needs be; they seemed to strike a much better balance between seriousness and fun on the NRL Footy Show than the AFL version.

Brisbane needed this, thier supporters weres tarting to tail off with the prospect of another season without finals success.

Even with the players they lost they still have a lot of class. I'm tipping the bears.
