Ambrose and Hartley have shown that life without Hurley may not be so bad. Add Hooker to the mix and our defense will be pretty sound. (Not to forget the potential of Tippa and Francis along with Baguely coming back)

Perhaps a smart trade for Hurley might just be a blessing in disguise.

Would love Hurls to stay but if he chooses to go we can definitely turn that to our advantage.

If we can nab an elite level trade for Hurls plus a decent pick or trade for Hibberd.....

Hurley is a beast and can stop, block and attack.

Well he stuck with his man and didn't fall over as often as he usually does.
Lynch is the most over-rated forward since.....oh shit - there's always Jack Reiwoldt.
Turn it up. Lynch had an off day. I'd give my left nut to have him at Essendon.
My brother declared Lynch vastly overrated before the round 1 game but has conceded many times this year that he was wrong.
Aaron Francis is the Messiah.

Ambrose and Hartley are looking good for first year (as backmen) players, but Hurley is the best in the league or close to it. We'd want to get a pretty f****** good player/haul for him if he leaves for it to count as a success.

You can't win out of a trade for Hurley. In his prime, we will lose. The guy has 5 years at least of good footy in him.

There are no players of his calibre up for trade, because those guys are on the "do not trade" list of every club.

If we're forced to play Hooker forward then we've f***** up our trading opportunities
