To play the kids or not???

Just heard on SEN. Sheeds is saying he won't be playing any of the young recruits in Badelaide. Will save them for the week after to run out in front of a home crowd at the Dome.
Hope he's foxing as Alwyn would be more than handy against the Crows, going on his preseason form...

I thought we were in the business of trying to WIN games of Football
Davey has been in our best 22 during the pre-season and DESERVES a spot in the team for round 1...
maybe Sheedy is sharpening his own sword early

gee we would be mad not to play alwyn in round 1. This is as good of a chance of beating the crows as any and we wont take our best 22? Alwyn is in that best 22. If not Jetta as well.

Just wait and see what side runs out on Sunday afternoon. You would think that Davey would play going on form. If Bolton is in the side and Davey isn't there needs to be questions asked.

Considering Davey's age, maybe Sheeds doesn't count him as "one of the kids" unlike Jetta, Houli and Gumby

I'd be really surprised if Davey is not in the side against Adelaide. Surprised and a bit dissappointed...

i was thinking the same thing swoodley, could be just sheeds being clever with words to mislead the oposition.

You can't play the same basic side as last year (+ Lloyd) and expect us to do much better.
We finished 15th last year for a reason. Play the kids.

Sheedy has no balls he is going to play the same rubbish he has served up for the last three years bolton ,peverill ,welsh ,bradley, the only good thing is that every loss is a nail in his own coffin if he doesn't have the balls to play the kidz then itll be a big funeral pyre at the end of the season, with Sheeds at the top
Bolton'peverill,campo,welsh ,bradley,heffernan,dyson ,winderlinch all going up in smoke at the end of the season.

And for what it's worth, O'Donnell has confirmed Davey a definite starter for Round 1, according to the EFC website.
