Coaching

Post by Gimps »

It is ****** beyond me that a pack of blokes getting paid more than most of us will ever earn - that do the job full time - can't have the foresight to man up Carlton's loose man in defence, when we need to f****** score!!

Just plain ****** dumb.

Woosha now putting it down to the lack of chemistry amongst the squad - an issue he's been on about all season. OK fair enough, I think we can all agree that this team is well short of its potential. But what I saw today had nothing to do with chemistry. It was just poor coaching and poor implementation of basic skills

Wrong team selection - why did Brown come in? Even had the weather been fine this would still have been a questionable choice? I think Leuey went well enough in his first game but I couldnt help but think that in the conditions, McKernan would have been a better, more mobile option. Taps to advantage was never going to be an issue in the pouring rain.

Anyway....Milk > Spilt > No Crying

So what was Woosha actually saying in his presser? Sounded to me like he was saying that despite the intensive work and training/bonding camps over Christmas and the pre-season games, a lot of players still don't know what is expected of them in regard to their own role and their correct interaction and communication with their teammates. Also, some of their skills are still shite. Nothing about coaching or the game plan (phew)

Lyon and Lloyd just said the same thing that I did. They must be fickle, too.

And as stated Woosha is on a gazillion bucks (and surrounded by so-called experts of the game to help and advise him) so if the people on this forum can see and understand what could have/should have happened, then a kick in the arse they (ALL the coaching staff) should get.

Yep.

Just as it's fair game to criticise a player's poor performance, the same applies to the coach.

What got me is we kept going to the boundary all day long... even with 5 mins to go and needing 2 goals they yet again went to the boundary and guess what... stoppage! I'm making the trip to Adelaide this weekend and if we dish up the same weak ass game plan again I'm gana be pissed
