Too many people have got great expectations about us doing this and that this year. We are coming along nicely and I hope we make the 8, it would be great to play finals however it is by no means home and hosed. A lot of things have to click and synch just right. Looking forward to watching many of our youngsters find their feet this year. Here to a super 2019 for everyone.

Jesus, deja-vu X 18 ! How many more pre-seasons have I got to read something like this? Next you'll be saying that at the end of this year, we'll have to rebuild and should do it by 2024. We've just built a core group that on paper should shit into the finals, bar serious injury. Something like this lets everyone off the hook.

Perth has been rebuilding since it’s last Senior Finals appearance(1997).

Yes, my WA rello was telling me once about the time the Perth Demons relied on administrators dining the fine wine when times were demanding restraint. Thought the club lacked a sense of urgency.

Yep,we went through some pretty tough financial times, but since the late 90’s,the Club has built itself a sound financial future.

Now we just need to spend some of it to buy a decent team, like Subi does.

That’s pretty much a brief summation of recent history from the 80’s to present day.

Only the rare financial loss in 20 years from ‘98 on.

Plus a Centurions fund for that rainy day, should a SGM require us to tap into it.

Well, the bad news is we didn’t get Michael Johnson back.He is spent,so we miss out there.

The good news is,we get Cody Kickett back. No,really! He won’t bring the Footy world down, but I like him all the same. And maybe with Michael Bennell who knows? We could have an Excitement Machine Double Act!Here’s hopin’!

Welcome back Cody! :D

We should play finals bar injuries. And; it seems we have a few. The latest being Heppell. Still we have a bout eight weeks to tweek a bit here and there. Might be the longest eight weeks, we can remember, I guess we feel that at this time every year before the season begins.
Nothing usually happens until something happens.

Grassy you think you’ve had It tough. My local last won a flag in 1987.

They’ve since played finals twice, won only one final, won 18 wooden spoons and in the last 10 years have won 13 games with 7 of those coming in one season.

I’ve been given the reigns to the football department this year. Wish me luck.

Best of luck Bonce.

Yeah, the amount of Wooden Spoons you guys have received would make it a bit trying.

If you’ve had a regular Full Back,he wouldn’t need a chiropractor, with the amount of neck stretching he’d be doing. #-o

You’d think the best way out would be to invest in the footy department. The ex-commissioner might be tinkering with his lollie shop!

Had our star bigman recruit dominate the practice game Saturday.

Then wiped himself out Saturday night in a drunken accident, fractured skull, broken jaw etc. #-o

Seasons started well.

Ouch!

That’s not the way to quietly mark a potential March Premiership. #-o

Hope he gets well soon.
