I thought it amusing that the EFC website has an article ... "Mosquito returns via the VFL"... ummm
Interesting that Laverde is not named for the VFL team ... pretty rough when there are 6 changes at the seniors and you can't make either the firsts or the seconds

Its the wrong time of year for f****** rhinoplasty
Hurley - “If he can train well and prove his fitness from that shoulder point of view, which we’re hopeful that he can, then there’s a chance that he’ll be made available this weekend.”
Parish & Francis - are on track to be available for selection against the Dockers - expecting them to fully train this week and be available.
McKernan - hamstring corky - is in the clear for selection.
Stringer - will need to prove his fitness on the track if he is to take his place in the side in Perth due to delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
Saad - minor hamstring strain - progressing well, would be an early return from a hamstring if he was to come back, but it’s a minor injury, so we’ll be weighing all of those things up.
Dyson Heppell (foot) and Orazio Fantasia (hip) continue to be assessed for their availability each week, with Will Snelling (foot), Kobe Mutch (knee), Joe Daniher (groin), Devon Smith (knee), Sam Draper (knee), James Stewart (groin) and Matt Guelfi (knee) rounding out the injury list.

Will Snelling (foot) what's wrong with it?
Zaharakis (foot)
Season:
Kobe Mutch (knee)
Joe Daniher (groin)
Devon Smith (knee)
Sam Draper (knee)
James Stewart (groin)
Matt Guelfi (knee)
TBC may be right this week, according to rumours. But touch and go.
Snelling has a foot issue, pretty sure I read it was stress fractures, so I wouldn't be expecting to see him again this year if that's correct.
Zaharakis - syndesmosis (the new "vogue" injury it seems) - having surgery, possibly ready for a Prelim if we get there.
Problem is, we dont know who to get excited about coming back anymore, or whether we'd be better off without them. A very weird season..
Woosha says Belly and Hooks will be back but managed no doubt to save their strength for the finals.

If Hooksey and TBC are iffy for this week but OK for the final, why the f*** would you even consider considering them for the Pies??

Hooker - “He just had some soreness and didn’t quite get to the line last week, but he trained well and we expect him to be available.”
Bellchambers - "all signs are positive heading into this week. Coach John Worsfold said he expects Bellchambers to play in either the seniors or the VFL and Crow said he “trained well” to put himself in the mix for selection."
Zac Clarke - "set for a stint off the field due to bone stress. Zac was sore after the game at Optus Stadium in his leg. We scanned it, which showed some low-grade bone stress in the fibula within the leg,”
Zaharakis - having surgery today, hopeful of a return late in the Finals series.
Mozzie - "suffered a significant hamstring injury in the dying stages of the VFL Bombers’ narrow loss to Richmond on Saturday". Having surgery today. Season over.
Gown - ongoing foot problem - "Noah needed an operation on his foot and we’ve decided that if we give it to him now and he has an operation this week, then he’ll have a full pre-season next year.”
Snelling - "eyeing off a return from his minor foot injury next week when the VFL side kicks off its finals campaign."
