Hurls 3-4 weeks I expect?
“Unfortunately Michael will undergo surgery in the coming days to repair the damage to the AC joint in his shoulder,” Richardson said.

“Once the surgery is complete, we will be in a better position to clarify the length of time he will be sidelined. While it’s a disappointing outcome, we remain hopeful Michael could return to play before season’s end.”
Minimum 6 weeks i would imagine

Once healed, he'd be able to play with a wire or screw in position. The AC jt is shallow and subluxs easily, not as structurally important as the main shoulder jt which dislocates. It's still important though as could be seen yesterday.

Primary fixation, initial healing, then motion and strength work and he might still play H&A. Of course, the extent of the injury is unknown to us so it's all a bit of a guess. :-k

In the biznis, and had bilateral ac's myself! 3-4...best case scenario. Plus he'll have a more intense rehab than your average punter.
Worst case, season over. The length of our season might have some influence o' course.

This weeks injury report....

Heppell - “Dyson completed all of the training we asked of him today,” Crow said on Tuesday. “Assuming he pulls up well, we’ll be taking him to Adelaide and then hoping that he can play in the game."

Ambrose - “We tested Pat today. He got through all of training, did some long kicks and we’re confident he’s okay to be available for selection.”

Hurley - “The earliest the surgeon has had anyone return from that is five weeks, our best estimate is six to eight."

TBC - “With Tom Bellchambers, we’re still waiting for the point where he can test clinically well enough where he can run pain-free and he’s not quite yet at that point."

Mozzie - "is completing a high volume of running, He’ll start to build up to higher speeds over the next fortnight before becoming available.”

Mutch - "will not require surgery on his fractured knee cap, but his possible return date is yet to be confirmed. “He’ll go in a splint for around a month and then build back up from there."

No comment on Stewart or Hooker's back issue.

Heppell & Fanta-test

Michael Hurley "is going well, he’s back running,” Crow said.

Tom Bellchambers “We’re working through that run preparation phase. We’re aiming to run Tom at the end of this week."

Irving Mosquito has returned to The Hangar following a brief trip home to Halls Creek for personal reasons and the exciting young forward is nearing his return from a hamstring strain.

Mosquito ".. he’ll take another week to make sure he gets in enough training before he becomes available"

Thought that Guelfi might be more than a little worse for wear after that crunch to his ribs... Though the AFL called it insufficient impact he did look sore.

The injury report mentioned Smacks ribs but not Guelfi's.

No Guelfi after Harbrow ran through him with a leading elbow #AFLSunsDons pic.twitter.com/13WYiXNJzs (Harbrow was reported for the incident, but it was downgraded by Michael Christian).

Jezes!!!!
West Australian Guelfi left the track on Monday with a knee injury, with the club confirming on Tuesday that he had torn his meniscus and needed season-ending surgery.

It is a further blow for Essendon, given Guelfi has been a regular this year, playing 17 games in his second season since arriving at Tullamarine as a mature-age draftee.

Saad went off the ground to be assessed during the loss to Port Adelaide on Saturday but returned, with coach John Worsfold allaying concerns about an injury to Saad after the game. However, scans later showed a low-grade hamstring strain, with the Bombers suggesting on Tuesday that the dasher would miss at least one match.

Big man James Stewart was also sent for season-ending surgery after failing to overcome a niggling groin issue.
