My favourite moment of the game..

Talk about everything Essendon. Past, Present and Future if it's about the Bombers this is the place to be.

My favourite moment of the game..

Post by rama_fan »

Maybe this could be a new weekly thread...

anyway here's mine:

Monfries shepherd which resulted in Lloyd's goal.

That typifies what we're about this year and what Monfries is about as a footballer. Sacrfised his own game to do the team thing which allowed the goal.

Jetta's running goal was a close second.

There were quite a few special moments, but I really liked Mark McVeigh's tackle on Josh Carr, his bouncing straight up to gather the loose ball and then slot a running goal from 25 - 30 metres out was brilliant.

Lovett and Jetta's runs through the centre, were inspiring to say the very least

I liked MJ's double twist screamer, from an almost vertical jump.
McPhee's was a beauty, as was the Welsh grab which wasn't allowed.
Jetta's run was scintillating... :D

McVeighs without a doubt in mine.

Was in the crowd and we all went nuts!

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble- McPhee's wasn't paid a mark.

Ump paid a free for hands in the back to the other Essendon player in the goalsquare and then paid advantage.

Yes, but the advantage was that McPhee took the mark, then handpassed it away. Technically, that play was allowed to continue, so therefore, it is a mark...

Ohhhh BD yes. Hmm. It wasn't paid but will be be paid as advantage? Interesting. If so, it'd be right up there for mark of the year!

That mark and Lovett's screaming through the corridor - twice. Second time was more fruitful for us tho ;)

Some of Maccas second efforts.

Lovett, Davey and Winderlich all running through the middle of the ground was awesome.

Scotty Lucas handballing 2 weeks in a row was also good! :P

Agreed there Benny. For a stockbrocker who has been out of the footy for a while, you seem to know your stuff.

Seeing our speedsters burst away. Lovett and Licha both had some moments where they arched the back and sped away from the opponents. Great to watch.

Yes, deep down in this rugged frame with limited physical abilities, lies a genius!
