Trent Mynott is in a vein of consistent form! Mozzie busy early. Draper excellent in 1st half. Looking invincible at the minute!

Does our coaching panel have the cojones to make the big calls that are clearly needed with regards to selecting the youth. Our senior squad is pathetically inconsistent and messages need to be sent to senior players in particular who fail to achieve a minimum weekly performance level.

Agree with this. Time to put the acid to be he senior group. I think it’s a cop out that young guys get chopped up week after week when. Time to look at Brayden Ham again, or even give Trent Mynott a crack.

Zerk-Thatcher is another, but unfortunately for him, he’s not able to break into the solid defensive unit for now.

I guess it will be Clarke in for Zaka

Does Langford need a few weeks to earn his return

Now that Smith is out, Langers will get a recall. Jordan Ridley should return too. Thought he was stiff as.

Despite my mistrust of Kyle Langford, he did more yesterday against Freo than David Myers has done in a decade plus of senior football. Myers should never wear an AFL guernsey again. Let him join Heath Hocking in helping to develop the young kids in the VFL for the rest of the season. Langford took his chance yesterday...it was messy in parts but it was definitely an improvement.

Please direct your concerns with him to the selection committee thanks.

I am sure Myers is a lovely guy - criticism of him is not personal. Never is. Its just I love my football club more than I love any player and as along as a player, who gets paid very handsomely to play football, keeps stinking it up, then they deserve to be criticised.

I get that at the end of the day the player doesn't select himself so the coaches are ultimately to blame. Put it this way, as a minimum any player can run, tackle, pressure, smother, block...you dont have to be Gary Ablett to do that and make a huge contribution to the team. See Guelfi's game from yesterday - stunning effort to do the hard things.

I never see David Myers laying a tackle or smothering a footy. Not that he isnt trying, I would never say that. He just hasn't got the mental strength or skill levels to do the basic stuff well, let along the polished stuff

Look at Myers' numbers for tackles and 1% in his last 4 games

Tackles/One Percenters
vs Brs 1 1
vs NM 1 0
vs CW 0 0
vs Syd 1 1

That is simply inexcusable for a big bodied, inside mid - inexcusable. Darcy Parish who I have been critical of this year and is half the size of Myers has laid 15 tackles and had 3 one percenters in his last 4 games. Go figure

Have a look at Eliott Yeo's numbers in his last 4 games for the Eagles playing that inside mid position - 42 TACKLES 12 ONE PERCENTERS

So yeah, Myers may be getting selected against his will and he is certainly performing at a non AFL level by way of thanks

I don’t doubt. But there is more than 1 player not performing and Joe Daniher is one of them!

If he doesn’t pull his bloody finger out,I’m going to start on him,big time!

Spot on!

This is the analysis that should see the end of Davey Myers. It's time to reward some youth. What about Dylan Clarke? What else does he have to do??

Totally agree that Myers should just spend the rest of the season in the twos helping develop the next gen kids.

Bit harsh on Joe....a year out of the game and he is a player that needs to find his touch. Kicking is an issue. However, when it clicks he will add 3 goals a game. Myers gives us nothing. And never will. But sure, if Joe doesn’t add anything then he like Myers should be moved on.

He’s been pretty good up until last week. Overall, he’s been a solid player in his career. Leading goalkicker, Crichton medallist, all Australian.

Mr Myers just hasn’t had the impact he should have had over the journey. Sadly.
