Disappointed Parish is out, but not surprised. Baguley can consider himself lucky.
The emergencies are almost more interesting than the team.
Why is Long named as an emergency? Reports didn't suggest he did anything special in VFL last week.
And Draper named as insurance against another $20,000 fine :)
AFL Website has the following emergencies listed
Darcy Parish
4 Kyle Langford
10 Aaron Francis
38 Sam Draper

Not sure where Long came from? (And if it is the case, surely they are taking the piss)
According to EFC site Long is named as emergency, not Langford - https://www.essendonfc.com.au/news/2019 ... -anzac-day
As I said - I think they are taking the piss. Mynott played a good game on the Weekend, Clarke a blinder the game before that... surely they should be rewarded before Long...oh well...

Disappointed about the Parish call (supposedly made 3 clangers that resulted in opposition goals) but Bags gave away 6 frees near goal that cost us 6 goals didn't he  ?

Is there a whisper that Fantasia and Hooker are out, and Langford and Long are in?

Hearing Raz may be out and Parish replacing him, but I have a feeling it's just BS, even though some people reported they heard it on the radio this morning.

So, I'm thinking.....if Raz is out due to illness, is there some risk that others in the team might be at less than their best as well?? Obviously depends on his "illness", but hmmmm.....worrying.

They are far too fast and we are rattled well and truly. Turnovers everywhere. But can they keep it up in Q2 and Q3? Im tipping we narrow the lead in Q2.

Yep as I thought. Getting our confidence now and if we can cut our turnovers down by half we should be level pegging by q4. Got a feeling the boys really want to play. Go boys. Show em what we're made of

Finally settled. Now if we can cut the turnovers by about half I reckon will be one up by q4

Sounds weird, but I actually think we played better in the first quarter than in the second.
The difference was, in the first quarter nothing much came off for us, whereas in the second we got one or two things to work, especially that last second goal to Joe!

We are losing a lot of the one on one contests and missing targets still a bit too often, but hopefully getting those last couple of goals will give us a bit of confidence and momentum going into the second half.

Francis would have been a far better option than Ridley today. But anyway...

We had so many chances in that last quarter, but blew it.
Too many stupid mistakes by us and a few dodgy umpiring decisions that didn't help either.

Late disposals ugly. Everyone dead on their feet. We did our best but it wasnt good enough. Pies could easily be the premiership side.Just lucky we seemed to have few injuries. Still tipping big things for us this year.

Umpiring was so bad today that the players stopped a couple of times for a free that wasn't called by the ump.

The JD tackle on Crisp in the death should have been rewarded. Incorrect disposal disappeared???

f*** me.

We should have won and we can definitely beat this mob in the future. The umpiring was nothing short of corrupt. I feel it was a valuable learning game.

Oh and shut the f-CK up Eddie and Buckley.

Also BOOOOOO'!!!!!!!!
