Walla's Woes

Post by hop » Tue May 07, 2019 2:37 pm

Interesting stat I heard today from "The Lunchtime Catch-up' Podcast.

In the last 10 games - won 5 lost 5.

In the 5 that we've won Walla has kicked 20.1
In the 5 that we've lost, he's kicked 0.0
My material isn't very good..Oh...and then there's the bladder problem.

I think it is a similar number for Fantasia although he has missed some games

Clearly any team that has its 2 or 3 key forwards not scoring is going to struggle to win games.

Not sure why Walla is so inconsistent at the moment but it is a definite worry

Pretty sure you could put almost any of our forward's names in there and get a similar result.
When we lose we're shit and no forward in the league would score with the (so called) delivery they receive.

And, really, had he been paid the 8 deserved free kicks that he wasn’t paid, he’d be almost leading the Coleman.

No almost about, if even half the frees he deserved were paid he’d have 40 goals by now...
Maybe a slight exaggeration but you get the point 😂

Hmm, interesting stat indeed. Still, Walla is a good asset regardless of actual goal output. His pressure is excellent. If the measures of 1 percenters, and tackles are in stark contrast, then there is time to worry. But I think he consistently applies these aspects of his game.
