That's almost as dumb a question as George Carlin's one ("If one synchronized swimmer drowns, do the rest drown too?").

Never been a more appropriately named round for us.

It's as messy and nasty as ANZAC Day has become.

Clarke D and Laverde in

McKernan needs VFL time but will be a valuable option in a couple of weeks

Last chance for Laverde...really has to keep himself fit and string together 2 or 3 solid games

ESSENDON is fearing the worst for Joe Daniher's season after the star forward suffered a suspected re-aggravation of his troublesome groin.

AFL.com.au understands Daniher will miss at least this week's Dreamtime at the 'G clash against Richmond as the club investigates his latest concern.

Sack the fitness coach sack the rehab coach and sack Doc Reid.

The amount of injuries to key players over many decades is simply unacceptable.

Last year those very words were the catalyst for us to begin playing proper footy.
It'll be a bit more than coincidence if the same happens this year.

I've taken to calling our fitness coach our "High Maintenance" Coach... cos after adopting his training methods - so many players are "in for maintenance".

Well on the plus side - we should have McKernan and Brown back this week ... on the minus side, at least one of these will break down and go back onto rehab during or just after the match.

Yep,sadly, I was thinking the same thing. Love Joe but honestly...will he ever present as a consistent, fit and effective AFL footballer. Fact is Smack, if fit, offers us about as much.

IN: J. Laverde, S. McKernan

OUT: M. Baguley (omit), J. Daniher (inj)

Jayden back for his customary senior game before snapping some ligament that will put him out for his customary 10 weeks.

Smack back for his customary return from long term injury before copping another long term injury.

Joy to the world.

Well no Myers.
The usual weekly question - "What does Dylan Clarke have to do..."
Brown isn't playing so at least we can bring him in next week for SMack
McNiece?

Things are looking up.
