Not the sort of post we're used to seeing here, but I'm going to say it anyway.
A week or so ago, mostly after the Swans game, I was really thinking I was done with this forum.
And I've been here virtually since the forum began. And always enjoyed it, mostly because of the lack of cheap, dumb, ignorant comment.
But it became flooded with...... Sack the coach, the players are spuds, sack the fitness team, sack the Board, basically burn the place down kind of commentary. As well as criticism of individual's opinions.
But I'm happy to say, just as I thought all was lost, things have changed.
Over the last week I've seen a lot of thoughtful comment about why we're at where we are.
Yes, some has still blamed certain people/groups, but mostly it has been reasoned comment.
I read a comment on another forum that said something like.....once you consign yourself to losing, the pain lessens.....and maybe that's what has happened here - we've become less emotional but at the same time more considered and reasoned. I dunno. But I am happy to see it happening - less subjective and more objective.
Great work Bombertalk members - I hope it continues.
