My decision is that video technology cannot clearly and definitively adjudicate it. As such the goal would stand.

In essence there was less confusion and speculation before this rubbish system came in. It is a blight on the game.

My question is relation to the technology being so advanced that it is conclusive...

Mind you, I think the footage last Thursday night was clear enough!

Anyone know why McKernan’s goal was reviewed? Goal umpire called it a goal, so who called a review? Was totally confused yesterday.

I was listening to the match on radio, and they suggested the ball may have hit the top of the goal post

A bizarre situation arose at a Colts situation yesterday, when a kick from a Perth player, appeared to just miss, only for the young lady Goal Umpire to give it a Goal.

She must have been given the all clear to make her decision, unless she jumped the gun. What followed was a nice little conference when about 4 other Umpires came in and gave their 2 bob’s worth, for what seemed a bloody alternative.Worse still,as the Quarters were 25 minutes straight with no time on(barring stretchers).

I helped matters yelling out,”Get a bloody move on,it’s not like Channel 7 are here!”Another minute or so,a decision is made. It’s a Goal!It may have been the wrong decision benefitting my team, which was so far behind,it didn’t matter. But a quick decision either way, would have sufficed.

And it would have been better for the young lady to make an honest mistake, rather than put up with the f****** unnecessary conference that took place. #-o [-X

Yep, goal ump asked for the review to see if it hit the post (on top or near the top)
