Snelling deserves a game. Hope he is rewarded for his great form.

I think, we will need to bring our best game to play the Kangaroos. They are playing good footy whether its because Reece Shaw is coaching them and they feel as though they have been let off the leash. Good teamwork, good foot and hand skills and the ability to get plenty of entries into their forward 50. Lots of opportunities. Our blokes in the midfield might have pinch the ball via Goldstein. Let's hope Clarke tap work is right on the money and our blokes have first use of the ball. Play Snelling.

We ground an ugly win against Sydney and I'm thankful for the four points. It wasn't a good game of footy to watch. We must come to play and get a good start against the Kangaroos. We can't afford to doze in the game and then have to play catch up. Against Sydney we got the ball down into our forward 50 but had difficulty scoring. Had Sydney kicked straight it could haves been a different outcome. We need improve our percentage because that's what it might come down to. Go Bombers. Bombers by 15 points.

Correct, could not have done more to earn promotion and we need some more niggle on the ball

I wouldn't drop Dylan Clarke

BZT went off with an injured finger today.
D. Clarke deserves his spot.
Snelling 30 plus touches today might be an option i f Lav misses. .
Agree re Laverde. He just wasn't offering an option yesterday.

Dylan needs a spell in my view. Not having a dig at him, just head back and get plenty of it in the VFL. Can't ignore Snelling's form any longer.

Has Clarke been played as a tagger over the past 2 weeks? (If he was yesterday, he seemed to be often remarkably distant from where Parker was).

Whatever his role was yesterday, it was ineffective. They dominated centre clearances.

Parker was held to half of his usual possessions tally if that doesn't say anything about Clarke's performance as a tagger I don't know what does. I think it was early in the third quarter Parker was moved off him. So why do you think that might have been? Not getting enough of the ball perhaps?

Clarke the tagger has been doing a great job in the ROLE he is playing for the team.

Z Clarke can go - where I don't care. Just play Smack in the ruck for the full game - we got smashed at the clearances and the majority of that was by Allir - he worked Clarke out so quick - the only time we got back into the game was when Smack went into the ruck. Don't get all misty eyed because Clarke had a few good minutes at the end of the game - he was putrid and a liability.

The forward line needs a reshuffle - I am not sure what that is but it didn't function (although a lot of the delivery into the 50 was rubbish!). Could we push Laverde or Fanta onto a wing and get Zaha into the forward 50 as a type of on field coach in there? Jesus we need something someone to get the set ups working better.......

Clarke simply Not up to it...
Totally agree got smashed every time he was in the ruck.
Liability.
Time to bring in Snelling.
Mckernan in the Ruck and alternate in forward line.
Bellchambers massive loss.

Delivery into the forward line is the key.
Wouldn't matter who was in there if ball gets kicked to opposition.
Lost count how many times that happened.
Everything else has clicked.
Find a bloody target...

Listen, we are going to lose the ruck contest regardless. So there needs to be a plan B. I thought what Alir did against Clarke was very clever...he basically roved to Clarke’s tap outs (if you look at the stats, I think Clarke actually had more hit outs for the game)

Perhaps with McKernan’s mobility, he needs to do the same....put pressure on the other ruckman but be more ready to to add a contest at the drop of the ball.

Our midfielders might have to learn quickly how to rove to Goldstein's taps or simply tackle their blokes to the ground. If we can't beat them to the ball, tackle them and totally muck up their run at the ball. Deny them the ball. If we play like last week, North will flatten us. We need to come ready to play and do it with a bit of mongrel otherwise North will run right over the top of us.

I think we can beat them if we do the right things and play aggressively. Go Bombers, new game new tactic.

Apart from Brad Scott being Kangaroos Coach, how did we end up giving North a pasting last time and what exactly has changed in their playing style since.Apart from a new message from new the Coach Ryce Shaw, what are North’s strengths that weren’t there before?

I don't watch North close enough to know what they're doing differently, and don't specifically remember the last match that well, but this match report suggests it was our midfield that did the damage last time. And I don't think their personnel has changed since then.
Just an opinion, probably wrong, but I think North aren't a great defensive team and that allows us to play our best attacking footy. So fingers crossed that means we can beat them again this week. Sure need to beat them!

North are a reborn team under Shaw. They all are cracking in with a ferocity that is scary. So we need to bring our very best.

Zac Clarke is a liability. He needs to create a contest and stop Goldstein doing was Aliir Aliir did.

So annoyed Draper has that bad injury.

As for Dylan Clarke. Keep him in. Our fortunes have changed basically with his inclusion. I think he’s been marvellous.
