I have absolute respect for blokes like Mark Baguley. Absolutely got the best out of himself, and put his body on the line for the club and his teammates.

I initially thought he wouldn’t make it as an AFL player, but he did. He became a very good back pocket player who stuck to his task in similar fashion to Damien Hardwick. He then re-invented himself at the end of his career to being a valuable ‘defensive forward’ who kicked 20 goals in 2018.

Much respect Baggers. Well played. =D>

MARK BAGULEY
Pick: 47 in 2012 rookie draft
Numbers: 46 & 12
Games: 134
Goals: 35
BGP: 3 v GWS, Gold Coast, Hawks, Collingwood
Most disposals in a match: 26 v Carl, WCE
Most goals in a season: 20 in 2018
Club Most Improved: 2013
Club Most Courageous: 2014 (8th in Crichton Medal)
Crichton Medal: 6th in 2015

Agree totally. Bags can be totally proud of his career and I wish some players would take a leaf out of his book.

Particularly loved his effort in 2018. Put everything there was to give into it when "better" men were falling by the wayside. A retirement well earned. Take it easy now Bags :D :D :D
