I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Re: The train wreck that
Fantastic review. Absolutely spot on.
Every season (for the past 20) has one of these “sessions” in them.

Show this to the board. Show this to the players.
They pinpointed the exact time in the season that things went pearshaped from.
- The Freo game.
I thought it was the second half of the Adelaide game but they were right.
Clean out the detritus at all levels.
Let's get back to being a ruthless competitive football club.
I know there might be a slashing and burning of the list but I fear they will clean out the wrong guys.

Quote from the letter from the President
If everyone is saying we are not good even when we were 5th then this mentality becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
We were good enough for large parts of the season.
How can players be motivated to strive for better when the management is saying forget about finals.
This must have something to do with the drop off.
I don't think you ever sacrifice the chance to compete in finals ever.
Who knows if we had a better mindset we might have won a bloody final.
This is my exact point. The reality is, we were not good enough to play September football. The ladder doesn’t lie, and our job is to accept where we are, put our heads down, and get better and that’s what we are doing.

Being good enough means being good enough across the WHOLE season. In that regard, clearly we weren't good enough.MH_Bomber wrote: ↑Tue Aug 29, 2023 5:27 pm Quote from the letter from the President

The real question is.....which part of the season is actually the genuine Essendon? Was it the first half and we underperformed for the 2nd half? Or was the 2nd half accurate and we overperformed or got lucky or something during the 1st half??

Does anyone know why people at BomberBlitz are suggesting trading out Draper because they think he is among the worst of the "bad eggs" and party boys?
I mean apart from there being a high proportion of "nuff nuffs" on that website.
Does anyone know if there Is any fire to go with the smoke?

This explains a fair bit. I sensed something was askew at one of the games when another supporter said Drapes was sesame snaps. I asked what he meant by that and he said he was breaking under a little pressure from teammates and coaches. Said he wasn’t happy. I must admit, I thought it all related to the way they kept playing him through injury which then turned fetid (a la Joe Daniher style).
But here we are (apparently) with the growing crew members of the disco biscuit bandits

Nope. First I've heard of it. Not a whisper on the many pages/forums/people I watch.s'dreams wrote: ↑Tue Sep 12, 2023 8:45 am Does anyone know why people at BomberBlitz are suggesting trading out Draper because they think he is among the worst of the "bad eggs" and party boys?
