Yep at training.

Our training ovals must be concrete and our rehab/sports physiologists would have to be the worst in the league.

I have it on good authority that APAC is wishing to buy the facility and use it for the 3rd runway. They figure it will be the cheapest option as they won’t have to lay anything down for the tarmac.

Might it be worth putting something in between the concrete and surface?

It was last week's reports according to AFL - this week's aren't announced yet.
So it was Ridley, Reid, Guelfi.
I didn't count Shiel (or similar others from other clubs) because I only included leg injuries - groin, calf, hammy etc that might have anything to do with the ground they train on

Do you count Ridley twice? Re-injury to me counts as another.

Same for all our other re-injuries and fkng setbacks…

I get the cynicism, really, but no I didn't count Ridley twice - I don't know whether any of the others Club's injuries were re-injuries so it wouldn't be a fair comparison.

Well, this is the thing, excluding Shiel because he didn’t have a leg related soft tissue injury… he has missed (can’t actually remember the last time he played) a shit load of games because of an initial “mystery foot injury” which required surgery. It actually took him off the trade table and onto the operating table ffs. Now he’s got this muscle injury in his abdomen.

How many foot injuries have we had (and still have)? That may have plenty to do with the surface both indoor and outdoor.

Injuries, re-injuries, and set backs - all the while they are taking the “CONSERVATIVE APPROACH”.

It is a f****** joke of a joint. You’d think they’d have got their shit in order after losing Daniher because of this rubbish. But nah… here we are… again.

IMO - something is going down with Shiel - he seems to have suffered 4 different but consecutive soft tissue injuries since 9 July 2023.

It should be noted that he was the sub that game and also the week before on 1 July 2023 (Rounds 16 and 17) and was subbed out from his previous game on 4 June (round 12) due to a soft tissue injury.

That was his first game in 4 weeks due to his sustaining a soft tissue injury in Round 9 in Brisbane (May 13 2023).

Something is going on...

Shiel due back via the twos.
Dylan Shiel and Tex Wanganeen will both return via the VFL this weekend, provided they complete a full week of training.

Shiel has overcome the oblique strain that sidelined him over the past fortnight, while Wanganeen is set for competitive action for the first time this weekend after a lengthy recovery from foot surgery in the off-season.
Setters out.
Midfielder Will Setterfield is set to miss again after re-injuring the knee that he hurt during the round two game against Sydney.

Following a hit to the same spot during the weekend’s loss to Port Adelaide, Setterfield is likely to miss at least the next two matches.
Matt Guelfi Calf 2 weeks
Will Setterfield Knee 2-3 weeks
Zach Reid Hamstring 3-4 weeks
Archie Perkins Hamstring 3-4 weeks
Jordan Ridley Quad 4-6 weeks
Kaine Baldwin Navicular stress 9-10 weeks
Jaiden Hunter ACL Season

As Mr Humphries said to Captain Peacock ... "I'm free" if the club needs someone to don the boots.

I'd be useless and possibly cover 0.7Km in 4 quarters ... but I'm here if needed.

Park yourself in the Forward pocket! That's your Zone! That's All Our Zone!

But at least someone will be forced to park themselves down there with you.And if they don't,you can have some fun, running more towards the 30 Metre Mark near Goal, grab possession and run like Hell to the Goalsquare,to boot it Home!

Simple Really!
