For 3 weeks running, no journo at the Age has selected us to win. And that is 40 journos!!!
Cannot recall that ever happening.
Too far for Baker now he's on to it, now he’s got it, OPEN GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dons are in front by one point at the 8 minute mark

That will get us to 9th....

I hope it isn't a Docklands Stadium flat track advantage.

Gotta love Sammy Durham. I really admire blokes who work their arse off to become good AFL players. I really barrack for the kid.

Must say… I am impressed with Xavier Duursma thus far. Didn’t really rate him to begin with, but I thought he was excellent tonight.

I’m surprised (obviously) by the win.

But then again, this is the sort of thing the club has done for years. Win unexpected games following terrible losses. Could beat the eventual Grand Finalist one minute, then lose to the eventual wooden spooner the next.

Let’s see how they go next week…

Brad really sugar coated the reason for subbing Menzie tonight.

Pretty decent win.
Did a lot right against a team that often takes us to the cleaners with quick ball movement.
One thing I'm liking this year though - it's usually been hard to do the Votes because it's been a proper "team effort" most of the time.

Lots of room for improvement though.

Best way to bounce back is to grab that pigskin and go baaaaaaang!

All out effort. Pull up the sleeves and go in deep. Have a flamin’ dip lads!

Grunt and grits.

Got a lesson last week through the centre. This week (after a Liberatore clinic), we said bollocks to that! Dug deep and won the battle.

Hard knackers from Bull Durham and the Race Caller. Backed up by XD Falcon. Doc Martin doing his stylish things, and Big Ben McKay ruling the air.

Langers was knee deep in the hoopla, and contributed well - even though he stole a goal from the Ball of Twine.

How good was the gold beer mug!? Such a good pick up.

Gotta start smashing these damned teams that have owned us for a long stretch. Fling and throttle as they say.

More of it thanks!

I doubt if any team is capable of getting thrashed by 11 goals one week, and to bounce back with a win like last night.
Bloody hard team to support!!!

That and he is the size of a midget compared to the others you highlight.

Yet another Dorodo special.
Gotta admit, I heard him carry on like loon after a VFL victory at Windy Hill last year. Didn’t really think much of it other than he’s a bit of a cocky bastard…

I guess my main concern about yesterday's win was the few late goals that the Dogs got.

Our percentage is still just 90%.

Winning is one thing. Not allowing junk goals is another.

I guess one thing at a time, but that percentage is a concern.

The lapsing trends are a concern. I can never figure out why they cannot put the brakes on when required to prevent a late surge. Everyone knows

Very happy with the response. Late goals a concern but honestly, I would have been happy with a competitive effort. We certainly got more than that.

Ill say this much, a more streamlined midfield cohort where everyone has a clear role is better than playing every mid (missing Friday night, Tsatas, Perkins, Setterfield, Shiel) with most of them out of position.

It was a much better balance allowing young guys like Durham and Caldwell to shine in a specific role as opposed to being rotated in and out of the middle to accommodate everyone
