St Kilda vs Essendon game thread

Qtr Time
StK 2.4.16
Ess 1.2.8

Shocking start. Crap footy. Terrible game. We didn't score at all for the first 15 minutes. St Kilda are totally choking up our midfield run. Rob Harvey is bloody amazing. The old bastard is winning everything.

Essendon's clash guernsey is awful. Might as well be all red and no black.

My only positive - it's nice to be watching a live game from Telstra Dome on a Saturday arvo thanks to Foxtel.

Ess 7.3.45

Very nice 6 goal to 2 quarter from the Dons. Our midfield is starting to click and our abundance of tall forwards is clearly evident.

There's still no stopping Rob Harvey, but the question is whether St Kilda's midfield class will be enough to get them over the line.

Lloyd has kicked a goal to enter the Top 10 of all-time goalkickers. Luv ya work Lloydy.

Hopefully our talls will dominate up forward in the 2nd half. Midfield clearances a problem, with some quick kicks into their forwardline giving them a couple of cheap goals. Hope the rotations are used well, because Davey, etc., might be important late in the game. They've already lost Sam Fisher & a few of their guys look a bit proppy after some good tackles & hits by our guys. Learn from last week Dons & bring it home!

We're overusing the ball in the back half again by the sounds. Almost gave St Kilda the lead on a platter there. Lucky for us we were able to clear, but we're not converting. Lovett has kicked 2 consecutive behinds.

3-Qtr Time

Ess 11.8.74

Exciting, tighly contested 3rd quarter.

Unbelieveable torp goal from 75 metres out by Dustin Fletcher, could be goal of the year. But then Fletch got injured and went off. Possibly a rib injury. Not good facing Collingwood on Wednesday.

Some of the pissweak and ridiculous frees paid in this game well and truly shows that the bureaucratic big-wigs are ruining this game.

After last week, I don't have much faith in Essendon in the final term.

Anybody's game really. Please win Dons.

Hopefully Fletch is ok. Saints will probably roll the dice & go for the long bombs to Reiwoldt with Milne hanging out for the cheapies. Must put pressure on their midfield. Even better, win the ball ourselves. & no crappy turnovers! Hille has had a decent rest. No excuses! Should win!
