The Clash Jumper

I just saw it for the first time on the news and imo it's a shocker.

If we have to wear the monstrosity, we should at least wear black shorts so we have at least some black in the uniform. The amount on the jumper is almost non-existent.

Not happy jan [-X :(

Compare that with the very pale blue jumpers Port were wearing today against Collingwood... in the rain. That must have been hard to tell who you were kicking to surely. I found it hard watching on TV to work out who was under the ball at a distance.

I don't get the AFL and their ridiculous bureaucracy.

I would rather have worn our traditional strip, and I reckon re could have. But, it wasn't disastrous. It was a bit redder but we still knew who we were. Plus, we won the game. I'll happily have us in that strip if it means we keep saluting...

It looks stupid. The normal jumper and red shorts would suffice. Total overkill.

Agreed, BD.

i thought there was way too much red on the jumpers and they didn't really distinguish that much from the saints guernsey. The red shorts were great but i didn't like the jumper.

Yuk!!!!!!

As said before all we needed were the red shorts.

Mind you, if they were available for I'd buy one, given now it is part of EFC history.

Anyone caught wearing this abomination should be excommunicated for life.

I trust that they will not go on sale??

the tv i watched the game on had the colour or contrast set way too high, so we looked like bright red/pink blobs running around

The Clash Strip looked appaling - simply hoorrible

And, whats worse, there was no improvent in distinguishing the 2 strips (ie Ess vs StK)

yes, defies all logic. Regular jumper with red shorts would have clashed LESS.

AFL management = dogmatic farkwits

It needs more black along the bottom half especially with red shorts. Anyway I hate the thickness of the sash bloody hell absolutely terrible.

Too much red. Ugly stuff indeed. But if we keep playing the way we did yesterday, maybe I could get used to it... CARNA DONS!!!

Yeah well blame McKissarse, the old c*** who was president for two years and changed our tradition. Shocking jumper, and when w sing the team song at the end of the match, we should take them off and put back on our traditional jumpers.

Out of every event in life, there are good and bad outcomes:

Good - Davey's tackle, Fletcher's torp, Pev's form, solid win over a top 4 side from last year!

Bad: THAT JUMPER!!

Hopefully someone from the Marketing Dept or Admin at EFC is reading the pulse of the Essendon faithful. That jumper goes down in infamy with the Scum's light blue M&M jumper!!!

Can you imagine if they wheeled that shite out for ANZAC DAY!!

Let it rest, never to be seen again, surely there has to be a better option.
