Matthew Lloyd
Worst game I have seen him play.
What's with this backing away from the contest business??
Got 3 soft goals - from poor umpiring and a lucky bounce from over the top.
Missed two shots of goals that would have had us 5 goals up.
Was beaten in so many contests, dropped a lot of marks
BUT
What was the first thing for me to see was the fact he was backing away from the contest. Almost hoping the ball would come over the back of the pack instead of contesting for it.
Is that the example the captain should be setting?
I know the delivery was probably poor today but seriously I don't reckon I've seen a worse game from the great man. And I doubt I'll see him play a worse one then that in the future!!

Yep. But the truth is more disturbing. I have seen other blokes doing it too because they are afraid of giving away tiggy touchwood frees cos the rules are SO F***KING STUPID thanks to BLOODY KEVIN ****ING BARTLETT.rama_fan wrote:

Lloydy will bounce back so I'm not too worried.
What upsets me more is that he goes to ground so often, more than any full forward.

I knew something was wrong when he missed those 2 set shots that he would ordinarily kick with his eyes shut and one hand tied behind his back.
Then he went completely missing for almost the rest of the game. Bobbed up every now and then, once to kick that goal from the shocker of a pass from Dyson, and a couple of times up the ground... yes he had crap delivery on more than one occasion, and the midfield just blazed away more often than not in the second half...
... but you are right. That wasn't his best game. Looked like he might have a big one early when he got the first goal within 90 seconds of the bounce and was in the play early with 2 goals 2. He just faded into oblivion after that.
On top of that... Lucas was invisible today.

If Lloyd wants to be the captain he needs to act like one and force himself into the game. Agree completely with the above point. We were getting stranded at CHB, and all the tall forwards were sitting and waiting for it.
I have news for them, we are not West Coast, and you can't expect delivery on a platter.

Scotty got a lot of his kicks just forward of the centre, and just out of range. The filth were pretty good at denying him inside the 50.Mrs Mercuri wrote:Whether Lloydy played well or not he still kicked 3 important goals.
What happened to Scotty Lucas today?? I noticed that he wasn't on the goal sheet for this match.
I actually thought his first goal was a selfish act. Lucky it dribbled through because he had Davey running past him and he should have handballed to him into the open goal. Seeing that Lloyd has been the beneficiary of a few goals due to Davey tackles, I thought that was the least he could have done.
Struggled today.
