3 - Hird - set the tempo in 1st quarter
2 - Watson - hit every target
1 - Fletcher - effective

Unlucky McVeigh - just needed to kick straight

3 - McVeigh. May i just say too that this was great coaching by Sheedy - dragged Power into defence and beat him, which is exactly what has happened to us with Peverill in previous weeks. The shoe has been on the other foot and it was nice that we pulled the punches in this area.
2 - Hird
1 - Fletcher

Good as well: Monfries, Watto, M Johnson.

Watson made at least two clangers. They were both within the space of two minutes sometime midway through the 2nd quarter. He was good apart from that.

ABC Radio had Jobe at 100% effectiveness for his 11 kicks, with 3 clangers in his 18 handballs.

I didn't see the match. How did Hille play? ABC gave him 1 vote but no-one has mentioned him in their votes yet?

I am at the bottom of his fan list so pay special attention to him!

Yep. As i said, the two i remember were both within a few minutes of each other in the 2nd quarter. One was at about CHF where he handballed out of a pack straight to a Brisbane guy, the other was on our HFF about 90 seconds later where he pretty much did the same thing.

But i'm not harping on those because he was amongst out top 5 players today. His kicking is what has been letting him down so to have 11/11 effective kicks is something of a watershed moment!

Good to see Watson still back himself with his kicking. His past two matches have been sensational.

Pear, Hille was very good today. Struggled in the ruck but was brilliant around the ground.
